But it gets better, the decor is just an extension of the awesome staff. I started going to Andrea and David F. last fall and have not regretted it for a moment since. Not someone who loves change, I rarely let stylists have carte blanche with my hair but I am glad I've found these two gems because I have never been happier with my hair. The story as I heard it is that they turned down spots at top salons in NY and Paris to open their own place where they could hire and train easy-going people, sell ultimate frisbees, and be near family and friends. For around 50$ you can get the best looking 'do in the city in a totally chill, fun environment. These are haircuts that go seamlessly from family dinners to professional environments to rock shows. I have been here when full bridal parties are getting their updo's done and everyone looks chic, romantic, unique, but unified - it really is amazing. (Also amazing was getting my hair cut downstairs where there are only 2 salon chairs and NO bridal parties. Thank you for the blessed quiet!) I asked around a lot before coming here after my last guy moved away, and all the gals with the best hair pointed me to Queen of the World. I should add - I always get my hair cut by the owner and have never had my hair coloured here. Not a pretentious spot, always a great haircut.

I don't have special need, wash, cut properly, maybe give me idea or suggest me how to cut them cause I never know how to cut them (albeit always short). So far, I've had 3 different staff and they were all great. Super attentive to details, get each bit of hair that might stick out from my weird head, everything is trimmed according to plan. I also had product for my hair (shampoo and such) cause my brand is discontinued. So far really like the one they sold me, had it in special 2 for 1 during Christmas. My girlfriend and here daughter also went recently.and they really liked it. You get grated with a smile and a hot coffee and the price is very good. Yesterday I arrived to lime coiffure and had the hairdresser wash my hair, and totally did not acknowledged that she was wetting my entire back. She then cut my hair which WAS long and no longer had layers. She made 2 big layers instead of many tiny layers. My hair now looks like she started to cut my hair into a bob and then her scissors broke and no longer continued to cut my hair. She took out at least 4 cm of my hair that i have been growing out for 6 months. When I finally decided to go TRIM my hair, this happens. To get rid of the split ends she used this sorts of blade that you only use on straight hair which I don't have. The reaction to using it on curly hair is that it makes your hair look like it is burnt. Hope you take this into consideration when you are looking for a new hair dresser. And good luck in your search !
