I booked a blow out for a wedding at F and Cie purely out of convenience...and the salon looked nice. My go-to look is a lot of volume with a round brush and twisting it down to create some natural waves. - The hair wash was long and I had a fantastic head massage. I feel like the girl took a lot of care not to get my face wet since I already had my make-up done, which I appreciated. - My hair turned out nice. There was nothing really "wrong" with it, but the hair dresser used a certain style that didn't achieve exactly what I wanted. She dried my hair by sections, but straight, so it didn't get any volume. Then she took a curling iron over it, did the waves I wanted and sort of scrunched up each section on the top of my head. In the end it just did not have any volume. - They speak pretty much no English here. I got that vibe when I first called, because the girl who answered the phone had to pass me on to someone else. They knew enough to get by, but there was zero conversation. It ultimately made it slightly awkward. Personally, it's not a reason I would dock a star, I mean my French could be much better too; but having someone who is able to communicate in English is always a plus. Overall, it was A-OK. It wasn't the best but it certainly wasn't the worst either. Let's just put it this way, I wouldn't not recommend it.

I'm a bit bothered by the previous reviewer. While she is correct that the staff doesn't speak a…read morelot of English (and therefore found the experience awkward), this is Quebec City. The official language is French, and the vast majority (over 95% of the population) have French as their 1st language. Tourists may believe the city is more bilingual if they are "downtown", but that is only because it's a touristy area catering to Americans/Canadians. It's unfair to apply that logic to a salon, which is mostly for locals. I've gotten my hair cut there for a while now, and being American myself (with limited French), I also have a hard time conversing, but I put that responsibility on my shoulders, not the staff's. My wife has also had her hair done their once or twice, and we've both been very happy with the results.

To kick off our maximum relaxation day, my friends and I got lunch here and then got a massage before checking out the amenities of the spa. The basic Swedish massage was great! I enjoyed all of the heated pools, infinity pool, relaxation rooms with a fireplace, and cold plunges. There were so many cold plunges all around. I enjoyed the hammocks, various types of swings, infrared lounge chairs. It was nice seeing so many people relaxing there reading their paper books. We were bummed the lazy river was closed while we were there, but will definitely check out Strom Spa again next time we're around!

It was my lucky day and they did. Michael cut my hair and did a great job! Quick, good attention to detail and very nice. But he also respected boundaries. I'd recently went to the Myrand location for the first time. I had asked many other black locals…read morewhere they got their haircut, and they all recommended KRWN. Being from the US, there are certain places that I usually get my haircut, so I was kinda skeptical at first about the experience. I had an appointment with Felix and he was really cool about the whole process. He did good work, but it just seemed like he was rushed. I'm not normally used to that. But the haircut came out alright. I'd definitely recommend him to others. Great person all around. P.S. Barbers normally give individuals alcohol after their haircut in the instance, like me, they have sensitive skin. Idk if that's just something you guys do differently or what, but I'd definitely take that into consideration.

We'd been walking all day, soaking up the incredible sights of Quebec City on foot and I was a little harried and exhausted when we arrived, but felt like completely different woman when I left. I can't say enough good things about my massage therapist David. He was extremely conscientious in asking about my needs and any health issues, and the massage itself (I had the deep tissue) was extraordinary. He worked out all of my tensions, every knot, yet was gentle as well as intense and effective. I am definitely coming back to QC and when I do, I'll be making an appointment with David!

This wasn't a problem for me as they seemed to try to make the room as comfortable and as much like a spa treatment room as possible. I had the 80 minute Signature Payot massage with Francine (I believe that was her name - I hope I got it right) and she was truly wonderful. First we sat down and she explained the products she was going to use on me. They all smelled wonderful and felt luxurious. She had me pick out the aromatherapy oils I wanted and explained what the treatment would entail. After she made sure I was comfortable, she got to work. I generally don't like when I am massaged with forearms but Francine's pressure was perfect and she managed to address the tight areas. The technique she used was very French - think Venus Beauty Institute with Natalie Baye. The effleurage was executed by assured, experienced hands of someone who really knows what she's doing. Then came the face massage. I didn't realize this was part of the treatment until Francine explained it to me at the beginning. At first I hesitated because I don't like unfamiliar products applied to my face and I generally stay clear of facials. But Francine had a very calming demeanor and she seemed to know the products very well so I decided to go with the flow. I'm glad I did because at one point I fell asleep! The products felt so good, I left even the hair elixir in for the rest of the day, making me look like I hadn't washed my hair in a week, but the smell was so good and it made my hair very soft! Note to Payot: please package your products in smaller sizes so travelers like me can buy your wonderful stuff and still fly home with them in our carry on.

I can't recommend this place enough to visitors!…read more I came across this place online while planning for a trip to Quebec City and bought two gift cards. it was a 20 minute drive from old town Quebec, and I was checked in without any issues with the gift cards I purchased in advance. First, I made a stop at the cute café - wow, the food was amazing! My favorite was the curry duck sandwich, and the charcuterie board. I can't believe the restaurant at a spa can be of this amazing quality The spa itself was very well equipped and clean too. The changing room only has three stalls, a bit small. I enjoyed all the pools and saunas, and it even has an access to the river behind. Very cool place!! Every staff and service was friendly and there were multiple water fountains at the facility so just bring your water bottle because you'll definitely want to stay hydrated.

After this experience, I could see adding something like this in more frequently!! Sibéria offers really great deals online, which we purchased and booked in advance. No problems with using it upon arrival. We started with a 60 minute massage that was so calming and relaxing. We had lunch at the cafe - a duck & Brie sandwich, soup, and maple coffee (with alcohol). Delicious! We spent the rest of the day in the steam bath, hot tubs, sauna, resting pods, and drinking herbal tea. Truly a relaxing day. There are cold plunge options but we opted out of those! The only con is the changing rooms / lockers are a bit tight space wise, especially in the winter months with big jackets + layers. When visiting remember to bring your bathing suit and slides/flip-flops. Slides are available for purchase if you do forget. Towels and robes are provided. I visited Judy about a month ago. I try to take some time after any beauty related services to post…read morecomments in order to see how effective the services were. I'll start by saying that Judy is a wonderfully beautiful lady! Sweet and very kind! I visited Judy for waxing (full legs and bikini). The wax is applied by a long metal spatula; nothing wrong with that but with a bit extra force, it can hurt. The waxing itself was ok; nothing out of the ordinary. The reason I'm not satisfied is because after only two days it felt as though i had shaved my legs rather than waxed; rendering the services useless. The good thing about Judy is that she is fairly inexpensive. For my treatments I paid $50. I'm choosing 3 stars because her skills and supplies may not work on my skin/hair type but could on someone else's. It's up to you if you want to take the chance!
