The doctors all seemed extremely nice and knowledgeable. They also had extra soon to be parent educational courses for free. while we were going here they changed their women's health location to a nicer newer location, though the old one was also pretty nice really. Overall everything is pretty clear and spacious and its a nice place. The hospital is on the older side but all the side buildings are very new and give good service.

This facility has gone waaaaaay down hill in the past year. The new staff (not the Drs.) are…read moredownright rude, uncaring, and have no personality. When you call there, they sound bored and bothered when answering the phone. When you go there, they act like you are bothering them. If you happen to call and have to leave a message, they don't call you back. My son had to have a physical for college and for some strange reason, they sent him to Manlius. So we go all the way out to Manlius to have it done and are told they can't do it because he is not a patient so, I go right back to Canastota-Lenox and the Head nurse says "OH well, there is nothing we can do." This was just days before he had to leave for college. So, they made the mistake and didn't want to do anything to fix it.

Not only is it closer, they have appointments available easily a month or two sooner than any place else in the region, it would seem. Certainly a lot sooner than any place in Syracuse! I am a difficult patient to deal with, not because I throw a fit, but because I cannot sit in a chair, and can only walk (with a mobility aid) about 20 feet, and I have severe pain after doing so. I had to lie down on the floor soon after getting to the front desk. This understandably caused a fair amount of distress all the way around, but I had no choice. Rather than getting angry at me, the staff were all very kind and compassionate. They made intake as easy as possible for me, crouching down and helping me with my paperwork. They rolled the MRI gurney all the way down the hall to the doors that opened out to the waiting room. I only had to walk about 15 feet to get to it. They helped me on it, and also got a wedge under my knees right away when I told them I needed it in order to lie still in the machine. When they rolled me into the machine, they of course gave me headphones and asked what my preference was, musically. I asked for classical, and they gave me some really nice soothing music. They also had nice cool air blowing over my face, which helped SO MUCH with feelings of claustrophobia. The tube can get warm and stuffy, so the air REALLY helped me. I ended up meditating on an oil painting of autumn leaves, listening to lovely classical music and enjoying the cool air on my face. They were really kind, checking in and letting me know how much time I had left in the tube. It sounds weird to say this, but I actually enjoyed it. I was a little sad when it was over, even, haha! Yeah, the machine goes ANH ANH ANH ANH ANH TOKTOKTOKTOTKTOK EERRRRRRRRRRR, but the classical helps sort of drown that out, and it's just pretty relaxing overall. I think I might have even dozed off, despite my intense pain. They did everything they could to make sure it was all as painless and stress-free as possible. Once I was done, everyone on staff at the time came out and helped me to my car, walking with me the whole way and making sure I got in the car. I didn't scream or cry at all until I had to get to my car (it was a long walk for me) and I could NOT have made it if they hadn't been there. I cannot express my gratitude for their compassion strongly enough. They are wonderful here. If you need an MRI, this is THE place to go. The people working here are so nice and caring. They should be proud!

They took the time to explain everything clearly and answered all of my questions, which really helped me feel calm and reassured. I didn't have to wait long at all -- I was seen pretty quickly, and the whole visit felt smooth and well organized. You can tell they genuinely care about their patients. What really impressed me was that they followed up a few days later to check how I was doing. That kind of attention and care is rare and truly appreciated. (THIS WAS A COUPLE MONTHS AGO) Went in to get help after struggling with some sort of illness for a…read moreweek. Symptoms including: Post Nasal Drip, Extreme Fatigue, Sore Throat, Clogged Ears, Intense Shivers all throughout my body, ETC. Was taking Ibuprofen and Tylenol whenever I could due to how much pain I was in. Got tested for strep and COVID. No other tests were done. Sat waiting in the room for over an hour. Nurse came into the room and told us we were free to leave half an hour ago and both tests came back negative. After returning once more a couple days later literally only getting tested for strep (they already did this not even 3 days ago), I finally made an appointment and went to my doctor. Turns out I had a severe sinus infection and was immediately put on antibiotics. Suffered for about another month with the after effects of it. A little more tests would have been nice.

How dare someone who isn't even someone i came to bring my girls in to see walk into room 1 and threaten me telling me there are other patients yeah i get that but i can hear every single thing you are saying through the door... maybe you should shut your mouth also. And because i stated i was calling my worker she had the nerve to tell me to have her come here then... who the fuck are you to say that? You have zero right to put your opinion or assumption about anything to do with me my children or my parenting... last time i checked the receptionist isnt someone i have to listen to about how to parent my children.
