The highlight of our week is our weekend gathering at 10 am on Sundays.
As OneChurch.to, we have a vision to see our city changed through helping people Know God, Love People and Impact our City.
Knowing God describes both a starting point and a journey.
Inviting others to know Jesus, and growing deeper in relationship with Him, is our prime focus. This foundational strategy feeds all of our behaviours in this way; if we truly know God, we will become more loving, generous, forgiving, and willing to serve.
Through the example of Jesus, we see that love is fundamentally an action. He showed his love by serving those around him without expecting anything in return. He moved straight toward people even when they were at their worst. We want to love people like Jesus did.
We love Toronto and want to make a lasting impact on our city
for good! It is our desire to make a significant contribution to the life and health of this city by doing social justice and living our daily lives inspired by the life of Jesus Christ.
History
Established in 1957.
Our church was launched out of a converted chicken coop at Warden Ave. and Sheppard Ave. Since those early days, it has grown to include over 70 nationalities, 5 generations and multiple campuses. Although we have gone through a number of name and location changes over the years, our DNA is firmly set on sharing the love and message of Jesus, caring for one another, and using the gifts and abilities that God has given us to make our city a better place to live.
We belong to a diverse family of over 1000 churches across our nation called the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (www.paoc.org). We are thankful for our story, the people who have faithfully come before us, and the journey that is ahead of us.
