They have free tastings on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, which are great for people learning about wine and beer. The owner is also incredibly knowledgeable, and I always enjoy talking beer and wine with him. The layout of the store is also great, with all the regions together and labeled. The selection is also one of the best I have ever seen, and I don't think I will ever run out of beers to try.

They called me a few days later, and told me where to find my prize. That place wasn't very friendly, so I might do without in the future. What I won't do without is this business. They have earned my business.

I grabbed 2 bottles of buffalo trace and she shouted at me that I could only get one. I immediately said "sorry, I didn't realize" and went and put the bottle back up without hesitation. She continued to shout at me that there was a sign (there wasn't any clear signage of this, it was on extremely small text on the tag next to the sku!). I said there wasn't and she pointed to the small text, to which I said "nobody is reading that" and continued to purchase my bottle with the other (much nicer) employee at the cashier. I ended up getting my second bottle anyways when my partner purchased it, ya know - since it's one per person :)

The store on the west side of Beckley by 77 was on my my path so I stopped but to check them out. I heard the have a lot go bourbon. I went in and met a blue eyed lady who said she remembered my call and to me to the vodka area and said it's not there. I turned around facing the wall and there it was in the bourbon section $45. The retail is $38 so not bad I thought. But when I got to the register she said the price on the shelf was not correct and the real price was $55.95. I hear this happens all the time at that location.

The gentleman with the beard (didn't catch his name) was very knowledgeable and offered several suggestions at different price points, based on my likes and tastes. And he didn't just try to sell the most expensive labels, he had several suggestions at lower price points too. They also do barrel picks here too for the bourbon chasers. Highly recommend checking them out.
