He took the time to talk to me and help me through the whole process. Some techs would have just blew me off but not Jamel. Taking the time to just care enough he helped me get the MRI done. I came in for 2 different procedures. My first procedure-the Ultrasound tech and her student were friendly, professional and made me feel comfortable. Not rushed, I give it a 5 for very good. The second procedure, not so lucky, I felt rushed, the tech only mentioned if my pants had a metal button. I said no.. At the end of the call, I was told that I was required to pay $97.00 as an out-of-pocket cost. I calmly advised the representative that I have already met my insurance out-of-pocket maximum. Instead of reviewing my information, the representative became argumentative and insisted that I still owed the payment. To avoid further conflict, I asked to be placed on a payment plan. The representative initially stated that a payment plan could be arranged. When I explained that I am currently not working, her tone became rude and dismissive. She then stated that I "had to pay the $97.00" and abruptly hung up on me. This behavior was extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. I should not be spoken to in that manner, nor should a call be terminated abruptly, especially when discussing insurance and billing concerns. I went to One Step Diagnostic in The Woodlands for a hip X-ray after hours. X-rays are walk-in until 8 PM, which was super convenient. The office was locked after 5, but I called, and they let me in right away. Check-in was quick online, and I was the only patient there--done in 15-20 minutes. Staff was friendly, courteous, and even cracked jokes. Results came back in under 12 hours! Covered by my insurance, so I can't speak to cost, but customer service was outstanding. So I got a call from the office telling me I would need to reschedule. They were not willing to bring in another technician to cover their online scheduling commitment. So I rescheduled. Literally the only good thing about this place is that it's cheap compared to hospital system MRI fees. Techs don't give a crap about patient care. They don't offer information or make eye contact. I was referred to One Step by my Dr. I have been attempting to schedule an appointment for several days with no success. My Dr. sent the Orders which they claim they didn't receive. I have also emailed them and once again they claim they didn't receive them. Their personnel are not at all helpful and make absolutely no effort to assist. Arrived at 2:30 filled out paperwork. Insurance on file hasn't changed. I did not have the actual card on me. 3pm comes and the woman tells me they can't see me because they "need" the card first. It's the exact information on the imaging order & what the file says. Walked out to go schedule with another imaging company that treats patients better. Avoid at all costs. Anna the office manager can't answer questions. She will call the police on you if you question their scheduling deficiencies. The person at the window began her excuses with, " I just got here and I am not scheduling. Anna defended having us and another patient wait because the patient ahead of us did not disclose claustrophobia. Instead to rescheduling to troubled patient, they told "us" to reschedule. The office manager could not answer "any" scheduling questions. Her terrible customer service skills, 0 leadership skills, and lack of job knowledge to properly run the office. Also when you leave you information on their answer messages you do not get called back. One time I got a human and was cut off while on hold. i finally spoke with a lady (I will not include her name) yesterday morning and almost had my procedures scheduled except she had to hang up and said she would call me back. I called 3 days later to ensure the results were faxed as I had a follow up appt with my dr. The day of my appt, here I am sitting here waiting because they never faxed over the results. Had an appointment at 730, they called us at 545 told us to come early they had cancelations. Okay cool, we drove out in the pouring rain to get here, now been in the lobby waiting for 30 minutes. I asked the lady why were we called early, she replied idk your appointment is 730 have a seat and wait. This place will never get my family's business again. The staff is rude, and unprofessional. Why make me head up here in a storm and hour and 45 early if you were just going to make me sit and wait till my appointment time? So rude and does not care about their customers. Now I'm told my 730 appoint was just a check in time and my appointment isn't till 755 and I just have to sit here and wait. I highly recommend going elsewhere if you have a choice. read more

If you are in a hurry you may want to skip this place. I've had a few walkin xrays at other places (Woodlands imaging) which had about a 5 to 10 min wait time. One step diagnostics had a wait time of 1 hour and 30 minutes . They only took one xray prior to me. After 35 minutes, I inquired about the wait. I was told they were checking my benefits. I am a healthcare provider and it takes me less than 5 minutes to check benefits. I can say once I was called back the staff was very nice and quick.! read more

I went to One Step Diagnostics this morning for an MRI. I have had several at other facilities in the past. This was by far the best experience that I have had. The staff was courteous and flexible to my needs. Derick the MRI operator was beyond professional. The process was quick. He said if I could lay still, he could do the process in half the time. He was able to complete a 90 min process in 40 minutes. When you are stuck in an MRI machine that means a lot.
