The DOD component is not in charge of service members once they separate. She kept on referring to VA disability. The DOD rating system is what I was appealing and the BCNR told me that the VA is the governing authority. She could not even give me a point of contact to who was going to follow up call me. Honestly, I'm planning on switching VSO because this person doesn't have the ability to listen and fact check.

Today I donated gently used patio umbrellas as I had donated 6 of these a year ago without hesitation. The two guys on the truck decided to not take these umbrellas today claiming these are not on their list of acceptable items? In the last year I donated 4 TVs and 5 yellow patio umbrellas and they swiftly picked all up. I guess the truck drivers decide what they pick up by what they want to keep for themselves!!!! Pathetic how lazy and inconsistent this charity has become. The driver even left a donation receipt which tells me they are just too lazy to do their job!!! I will NEVER donate to this charity again. It's a waste of time and efforts for some laborer to be calling the shots!!!! The driver even left a donation receipt which tells me they are just too lazy to do their job!!!

Everything was smooth sailing on the Veterans Adviser's side for submission to the VA. When I received a denial the first time I was surprised and heartbroken, but Stephanie spoke to me directly and settled my nerves by explaining that sometimes the VA will do so. She explained the next steps and what might happen even at the supplemental claim stage. When I received denial #2 from the VA it was not a surprise as the VA had once again not reviewed my actual paperwork submitted. Stephanie stayed on top of things and explained what a Higher level review might look like, reassuring me to trust the process. Fast forward a few months later I received the positive outcome we had longed for. Forever grateful for Stephanie and the team.

Thanks to his expertise and relentless commitment, I was granted 100% Permanent and Total disability in lightning speed--something I never thought possible!!! He handled every detail with care, kept me informed throughout, and made sure nothing slipped through the cracks. What stood out the most was how much he genuinely cared--not just about the case, but about me as a person and a veteran. If you're looking for someone who will fight for you, guide you with confidence, and get results fast, Tony is the one you want by your side. I'm beyond grateful for his support and highly recommend him to any fellow veteran seeking VA benefits.

We had a choice of many different types of menus and ultimately settled on the Italian menu which was customized to our needs. Delicious food, spotless venue, a good sized dance floor, friendly and very accommodating staff who go above and beyond - what more could one ask for? We were even more impressed when we found out all the staff are volunteers, (the director is the exception). Additionally, after pricing various other venues, VANC offered good value for what they could offer us. Realizing whatever money they make on our event goes back directly to the Veteran community, made our decision to hold it here very easy. Thank you to everyone who made our special occasion even more memorable. We will be back! Cheers, B & T Bates

While there I noted a representative helping an individual with their VA claim, I only witnessed the introduction but it was a positive vibe and felt very authentic. These folks are here to serve and help ensure you have solid representation to help navigate the process. Also, the MTAS that is led by Chris Keane and Mike Fraser is next level. Lots of good information and the group is able to meet with people in the industries that the participants are interested, I highly recommend Military Transitioning, Veterans and Mil. spouses take advantage of these resources.

It is very difficult to have consistency in your therapy when appointments are so limited with your counselor. If you are a working individual or a student it makes it even more complicated. The guys at the front desk are polite and nice, but terrible at relaying messages; therefore is impossible to communicate directly with your counselor since you cannot have their email nor their direct line. I know these guys are overworked; they keep taking clients under very low staffing. I know low staffing is out of their control, but accepting more clients when they cannot keep up with the ones they have is not OK. I felt obligated to quit after having such a difficult time booking the appointments and delaying my therapy; at times I felt worst having to relive it and dealing with it for two or three weeks until my next appointment. I always felt in a rush, and not enough time to deal with all the mess in my head. They say many things that they cannot keep. Therefore, I felt, though their intentions might be honorable; they were more damaging to me than helpful. But remember, everyone's experience is different.
