I suspected my troubles might be related to hormonal issues, and when I reached out to Bethany, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that she is incredibly knowledgeable about female hormones, menstruation, and menopause. Bethany is not only responsive and professional but also provides a tremendous amount of trust and grace in every conversation. She creates a safe, non-judgmental space where I feel truly heard and understood. From our very first session, I learned techniques that helped immediately. What I've gained isn't about fixing others or changing circumstances; it's about learning to love myself, listen to myself, and view situations with more compassion toward myself. In my experience, working with a life coach like Bethany is different from seeing a counselor. While it's hard to describe the exact difference, what I've found is that life coaching with Bethany isn't about getting caught up in the drama of life. It's about tuning into yourself so you can handle challenges better and see them in a new light--because you see yourself in a new light. Although we did most of our sessions via Zoom, I eventually decided to meet with her in person, even though I'm only an hour away. Her scheduling is flexible and convenient, and I have no complaints at all! I highly recommend Bethany. I feel so supported, listened to, and validated by her. The techniques I've learned have been so effective that sometimes I wonder what we'll talk about in our next session--because I've gained so many tools already!

Portion control and balanced meals keeps me satisfied so, I no longer snack on high caloric intake. I've learned that my sugar cravings are directly correlated with my hunger and need for a meal instead of a sugary snack. Increased proteins keeps me satisfied. Coupled with increased vegetables, I eat more seeds and fruits consist of berries, which doesn't cause my glucose level to spike. My AIC decreased from 7.4 to 5.4. Although I'm no longer using the diabetic medication, with regular exercise and better eating, I'm maintaining the decreased weight goals. I recommend seeing a dietician on a healthy lifestyle journey. The difference between dieting--regaining weight and maintaining is simply the LIFESTYLE changes, which means permanent change. I did the trial session with a friend on a Friday at 5pm and it was full class but not excessive. My guess is about 40 people in a large room. First you do about 5 min of active stretching and some cardio like running in place or butt kicks, arm swings, etc. Then they go right into explaining the stations. Then they set up several stations/exercises with about 6 people at each station. You work out at your own level, push yourself as hard as you want to. They do come around and check for help. Great session overall within 45 min. I didn't see any wipes to wipe equipment down and that is my pet peeve when people don't wipe down equipment. I get a little weird since you do sweat in the classes. The equipment is in great shape and nothing looked tattered. Just bring your own wipes. The water machine is outside of the main workout room so you have make sure you have plenty of water with you. Otherwise you don't have time in between the transitions to get more. People put their drinks, bags, etc all around the edges of the room so sometimes you have to navigate around that if they aren't paying attention to where they are placing things. They have several areas where you can workout with weights like in a small gym setting in a different room and a cryotherapy chamber. The bathrooms are clean and overall it was a clean space. Just not the weights and main area.
