I have done yoga here and there in the past. When I decided to pick up the practice again of course I picked the closest to me. That made me try it. But, what has made me STAY is the atmosphere, compassion, warmth and great teachers. I have learned more about myself through the help of One Down Dog. I highly recommend.

I use to go to the studio located in Eagle Rock so I was eager to check out this spot. Parking can be challenging especially since the lot is shared with other businesses. Plenty of free street parking though. Studio is located upstairs. It looks just as nice as the studio in Eagle Rock. Very clean especially since you have to leave your shoes outside. There's a little shop where you can purchase some workout gear. Kind of expensive though, but the quality appears to be good. There's a restroom on the same level and right next to the studio. You need a key to access it and the bathroom was clean. I took the core class. Slow pace. Sometimes I wasn't sure if I was doing it right and it would have been nice if the instructor walked around more often to check on the students form especially since the class wasn't very big. There are more challenging. sweaty classes though if that's your thing. Would I go back? Maybe, but not sure I would do the core class again. They take Classpass.

Cleanliness at this specific location could definitely be better maintained. The mat I rented that day was a bit smelly, and the towel was too, which wasn't great. That said, this has nothing to do with the staff.. the front desk is very friendly, and the instructor I had for yin was wonderful. No complaints there at all. I'd probably avoid this particular location moving forward though, that's all.

I'd had a bad experience at the Pasadena studio with a girl named Megan, so I decided to try a different location, and I'm so glad I did. This studio is waaaay cleaner. The mat towels smelled fresh, everything felt sanitized, and the space was clearly well taken care of. My instructor, Jimmy, delivered an amazing workout, he incorporated moves I've never seen before and actually walked around correcting form, which is rare in larger fitness classes. He was fun, energetic, and really set the tone. Playlist was baddie certified! LOVED him! I also appreciated how well maintained everything was, soaps fully stocked, cozy studio rooms, and an overall vibe that felt intentional and inviting. I think this might be my new go to location. I don't even mind the drive :)

The people at front desk are always kind and helpful, the studio has always been clean, and I don't think I've ever had an instructor I didn't like. I have certain instructors I personally love and will go out of my way to attend their classes, but I don't think you can go wrong! And the lavender towel at the end of class is soooo nice! It's hard to find a good yoga place in LA that isn't intimidating and is welcoming to people who don't look like the "stereotypical" yoga goddess. I love coming to class and seeing all the diversity in the room sweating it out together - that's what yoga should be about. Shout out to Gabby who's my favorite instructor there! Her playlists are fire and the chisel workouts kick my butt. I feel strong after leaving each class!

She was so charming and friendly and really made everyone comfortable. She made the class!!! She was a wonderful teacher who made learning easy and enjoyable. I would love to come back but it is quite expensive. Probably good for a treat! The overall studio is very pretty and aesthetic. The aerial room was a bit tight but did the job! Loved the openness of everything. The entrance and signing into the class was a bit messy and hectic, the entrance was under construction and the man at the front handing out the waivers and such seemed a bit overwhelmed. Didn't feel super welcoming. Streamlining and organizing this section would def help put clients more at ease since I was starting to doubt the class in the beginning.-BE SURE TO BRING A YOGA MAT! Otherwise you'll have to pay $4 to rent one. -The overall class was 10 minutes of warmup, 30 min lesson, and then 10 minutes of free time to record and practice what you just learned. -The AERIAL DANCE INTRO CLASS was a great class for those who have never done aerial or those who haven't done it in years. We learned 3-4 positions. - Paid street parking or limited lot parking ( where ABOUT TIME CAFE is , free during the day) - bathroom available - Locker room on the side - They have two cute dogs in the studio - Recording isn't allowed till the end.

It doesn't really make sense but OK, already vibe ruined but i took the aerial 1 class. The man followed me around asking where i got my yoga mat and even when i was leaving asked if i am taking my yoga mat and where it is etc- very annoying, bizarre and frankly off putting as hell. he was anything but welcoming so i suggest you remove him from whatever he's doing in the front. never want to come back. apparently you have to pay for rental yoga mat. But even before I get to the class, the entry entryway and the vibe of the whole place is off because it's so worn out. i'm scared the fabric will fall off the hook and it's extremely smelly and overall unstable and worn out looking- not sure if i can trust the hanging to support me but that's the attorney in me talking. everything i see seems like a liability, especially their old hooks and the way the instructor walks around with a huge ladder in a crowded class. Next the class itself- instructor spent majority of the time making us stretch and adjusting our fabric. it was such a waste of time. don't do it if you're trying to get a workout in.

From the moment we stepped into the space, you could feel the intention behind it. The studio itself is stunning -- grounding, expansive, and filled with an energy that immediately invites presence and depth. Being surrounded by his collection of gongs and instruments created an atmosphere that felt both sacred and inspiring. Lou is a true gong master. His knowledge, passion, and reverence for the instrument are undeniable. Watching him play and learning directly from him ignited something powerful within me -- a deep desire to connect more fully with the gong and explore its potential. He teaches not just technique, but relationship -- how to listen, feel, and allow the instrument to speak. The experience inside his studio alone was worth it. I highly recommend trying and combining each instructor and the various classes provided at yoga circle for a wholistic practice. The three very unique teachers that have distinguished styles are Knekoh, Jacqui, and Rob. I love all three and each teacher serves a precise purpose to my yoga practice. Knekoh for my mindful meditation, Jacqui for a concentration of the body, and Rob for spiritual awakening. The other instructors are also great and are generally a hybrid of these three. If you're up for the challenge, source Yoga Circle as your place to complete the 200 hour yoga teacher training. I was in the 2020 class with Knekoh and Rob. Yoga Circle did a tremendous job at switching from real life training to virtual training. The quickness of the transition was impressive. Both Knekoh and Rob are incredibly dedicated to their students and their own practice. Both have polar yet complementing energies that make the TT special.

It says on the website for the yoga studio that there's a parking lot a block or so away but being from out of town and not having a lot of buffer time I didn't want to be late to the class so I risked the ticket. The class was about half full and I appreciated that the teacher always gave modifications for people who either were not able to get into a full posture or wanted to go further in the posture. I did think that the studio floor could've used a sweeping, but that's what my mat is for I guess! I could see a little dust, bunnies and hair on the floor while we were in some of the lower postures though.
