Price tag is part of a trio of stores that sells off price boutique closeouts. The other two are Barney's bargain stores in Hillside and Bloomfield. They didn't call the Bayonne location Barney's because there was already another store called Barney's up on Avenue C. That store closed many years ago. Price tag and the other two locations have a rotating series of stock. Some weeks they have women's, some week they have men's, and sometimes they have Children's. You can get very expensive shoes and clothing at a discount.$200 SAS shoes? You can get them for $50 or less. They have lots of different brands and things change all the time. Sometimes, though, they get things that don't move very quickly. Today I saw some hilarious socks that were for New years 2000. Call them New vintage, I'm sure someone will pick them up. You can always count on Price tag when you need an evening bag, shoes, or a wallet. They tend to get a lot of those items. They are only open Thursday through Sunday. Some of the people who work there seem very disinterested, but the two Natalies who work on Sunday are the nicest. Check it out, you never know what you will find.

The store overall appearance is okay. They are always out of stock on items, lines can be long and confusing to customers. They should have a team lead / front-end supervisor monitor the lines as other retailers. Also to note, they should keep bags at all times for shoppers that do not have bags. This store location in Bayonne can be better. The main and important problem is there associates/employees.

Their internal algorithms insist that at any given time their registers remain unmanned so you're forced to wait for Godot or try your hand at the self-checkout where scanning wands always malfunction causing me to raise a well earned and robust middle finger to the arsenal of surveillance cameras in this space. The time suck here is always groceries. When Walmart was just a soft and durable goods store customers waded through the checkout line with six or seven items. Now that groceries rule you're almost always stuck behind a wagon train of grocery carts all filled to the brim. And don't get me started on the single shopper who's filling the list for six of their friends and needs it all rung separately. Frankly, it's all amusing but I don't have 60 minutes to kill gazing at their multi-tasking marketplace ballet. So hey Walmart, why not try a few non-grocery lanes or everyone's favorite the less than ten item express lane. They've only been around for fifty years or so. Give it a shot and join the not so new century. Algorithms not required. Two stars.

Stumbled upon this discount variety store while strolling down 5th Ave during our trip to New York…read more I was looking for inexpensive t-shirts for my family and certainly found them! They also have housewares, snacks, cheap casual clothes (like leggings, pajamas, underwear, socks, etc...) and lots of household stuff. I wouldn't look for nice outfits or dress clothes here, but what they have is great for casual wear. If I lived here I'd be here a lot! I got 6 t-shirts, a pair of pajama pants and luggage tags for my daughter for under $40! At the airport I would have paid a lot more. Made me happy!

I explained that the dress is $7.99, so I paid and then went to get the other dress to prove it. The cashier went over to the rack and came back with OTHER dresses and then said she "knows how much each clothes are" and said these are "$7.99, not yours". I told her it says that price and she said no. Overall, felt like I was lied, next time I will definitely check the prices. I definitely didn't think the same dresses will have different prices and then have that cashier pretty much say, she knows all the prices even though it says differently. This place is a scam! I wonder how much will it be if I grabbed the $7.99 dress? I don't mind the extra $2, but this is not how business is done. Get yourself together!
