I wouldn't bother signing up as a free agent without knowing members of the team/the captain pretty well. Some of the captains they rely on are as rude, dishonest, and incompetent as the league officials. The league will tell you they can move you to a new team if you don't get along or are mistreated by the team you're assigned to, then they will wait too long or end up not bothering/lie and tell you it's too late as apparently this league is too serious. Even if there are games remaining in the regular season. If you like having rainout games not being made up and credits not being offered as stated in the terms and conditions then go ahead and sign up. If you like being told specific rules have been disregarded because of apparent captain votes the league didn't announce go ahead. If you want to be assigned to a field you didn't sign up for with no explanation or apology, then be scheduled to play starting as late as 10pm go ahead. This is a ripoff and inconsiderate. I have been polite and am being treated like crap. Don't bother discussing refunds in any circumstances. They probably wouldn't give one even if they cancelled the season. If the league disbanded they would probably try to give you leftover shirts as a comp instead of your money back. Update: Hi Ian, Thank you for your continued engagement with our league and for sharing your concerns. I appreciate the opportunity to address this matter comprehensively. After thorough consultations with both team captains and our support team, alongside a review of our correspondences, it's clear that substantial efforts were made to accommodate your requests. The decision to initially offer a team switch was made in good faith, aiming to enhance your experience within our league--a gesture beyond our typical protocol. However, the nature of your recent requests--particularly the timing and frequency of desired changes--poses significant challenges. Introducing a new player into a team's established dynamics towards the end of the season disrupts not only their strategic setups but also their camaraderie and collective rhythm. Such changes can be detrimental to the overall team environment and the league's integrity. Given these considerations, and with respect for all participants, it is not feasible to proceed with a team change at this stage. Our policies and the structure of the season do not support such a move this late in the game without risking the detriment of all involved. Furthermore, as per our terms and conditions, the circumstances described do not qualify for a credit issuance. While I understand this may be disappointing, please know that the decision is rooted in maintaining fairness and consistency across our league. I must emphasize that this decision is final, and as such, we will not be able to entertain further discussions on this matter. Your understanding and acknowledgment of the efforts made on your behalf would be appreciated. Thank you for your participation this season, and while I regret that we may not meet your expectations in this instance, I sincerely hope you find a league that aligns more closely with your preferences. Live Life Fun, Britt Mench ---- I didn't say I was leaving the league prior to this. They told me I wasn't welcome back after one of their captains was rude to me. The league director was too busy for me.

Fun neighborhood with long swim lanes pool. Their pool is big and beautiful. They also have small diving boards which is great to experience. Great place to take our kids in the summer. The Embry Hills Club is great place to meet your neighbors and have a good time. If you are not member, you are missing out on one the best reasons to live in Embry Hills. The Embry Hills Club was established in 1958 when the neighborhood was first being developed. They offer swimming, tennis, Sand Volleyball and a variety of social activities throughout the year. Opens May through Labor Day. But if the weather permits they have open plays for Sand Volleyball. Usually they have plays after dark around 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Cost for the open play for Volleyball are just $5. They also do the league matches which cost around $55 which is very reasonable compare to other places. The two courts are fully lighted and bright. Plenty of chaise lounges, poolside tables, two sun decks, and a clubhouse for parties. Youth swim team available for children ages 5 and up. The Embry Hills Club has a long connection with ALTA tennis. They have two lighted, recently resurfaced hard  courts. They offer ALTA women's and mixed doubles teams. Overall a nice sports club. Plenty of free parking available in front of the courts.

The…read morepool and tennis courts are essentially just a pool and tennis courts, but the people make this place exceptional. You typically see a lot of the same people every weekend, and everyone is very close knit. At the same time, there are some social butterflies who flock to any new faces and immediately welcome them to the club. The pool is definitely for families. If you have kids of any age, they will love it. The shallow end is big enough for kids to play in, and the deep end has 2 diving boards. Whenever the lifeguard goes on break, the kids play on the playground until they can get back in the pool again. Its one of the few things in life that hasnt changed since I was a kid. Aside from the facilities, the club holds multiple events during the year. My kids love movie night. They set up a big inflatable projector screen out on the lawn and have a local food truck come by so everyone can eat and socialize before the movie starts. There is also a chili cookoff on Superbowl Sunday, so people can vote for the winner while they watch the game at the clubhouse. There is a Halloween parade every year and the neighborhood gets a fire truck to lead the kids through the neighborhood to the clubhouse, where there is a party waiting. Cons: The pool and grounds in general are on the older side and need some work. The playground equipment probably needs to be replaced at this point, too. It doesnt get busy during the week, but it can get pretty busy on weekends. Overall, EHC is a great place to meet people and let your kids run wild. The pool is lively and there are always plenty of events for the family. The whole place could use a face-lift, but you probably arent going there to admire the architecture anyway!

There's now a dog park which is super convenient for us on days that we don't feel like driving the additional 10 minutes to Brookhaven Park. The only downside is the parking... on a busy Sunday midday on a temperate winters' day all of the fields, tennis courts, playground, etc. were in full use. We had to park in the neighborhood and do a short walk, but at least there was a sidewalk. The nearby street that connects Dresden to Buford Highway had clearly posted No Parking signs. The dog park is a short walk from the parking lot. The paths around the park were all recently paved. There are divided sections for large and small dogs (30 lbs and under). While it isn't nearly as big as Brookhaven, and doesn't have grass (it's mostly concrete, soft mulch, and pine straw), it's still enough room for dogs to run and play. There's a little tunnel/obstacle, a few metal benches to sit on, and a really nice sun shade that will be perfect for summer or rain, and a drinking fountain. Now it's time to get more dogs there! The concession stand was also open today.
