Work that had to be done over

Ricco Latson- watch out for him especially if your a single women..First of all his company is admin dissolved and has been for three years now, I just found out. This man was supposed to complete a job in 7 days, turned out to be three weeks. He constantly hit on me and would text me inappropriately. He offered free work (as an approach to win me over to date him), and when he finally got the picture that it was no way happening because I'm already taken, he started to do really horrible work. I constantly had to ask him to do work over and over until he did the job right. He then started to complain about how he has lost money doing my $3200 job and that he has spent $600 of his own money. Then he started making statements like lesson learned. He then started complaining even more and started asking me to pay some of his money to pay his so called helpers who didn't know how to do any work. He again stated, "I need ana advance because I can't keep spending my money." He left paint on my garage floor., damaged flooring, scratched appliances..He damaged one of my custom made shades from Hunter Douglas and was supposed to replace it. He drafted a handwritten contract as a promise to pay for the shades and did not adhere to the contract. First he tried to take the shade to some place to get it fixed, turns out that place was just as shady as he was. Instead of matching the material, that company turned the shade upside down as if I wouldn't notice the black splatter, from Ricco's work. I then let Ricco know and supposedly he got his money back.. When I went to HD where I originally purchased the shade, Ricco stated "look I'm trying to save as much money as possible" and then wanted me to contact another company. Well I did try the other company to no avail. I proceeded with HD and informed him of the date and time of the consult which he agreed to. On that date I contacted him during the consult to ask about installation and he has yet to return my calls or respond to any of my text. Needless to say I have to pay the $650 total to replace my Shade. Oh yeah I discovered beer bottles left around and he was admittedly high once when doing the work near the end of the day of one of the days he was working. There is so much more to tell but this should be enough to caution you to use this man at your own risk.

This was an excellent experience considering it was my first time replacing drywall in my home.

From the day I met with them, I was finally at peace and knew the work goals would be reached. They did not improvised themselves as A Dry Wall company.  I have met with so many supposed professional, for this project. I cannot count how many ridiculous interviews, quotes I had with contractors, apprentice carpenters, or painters thinking they could grudge us and do a similar job. We even had a company telling us they needed one month to so this work! Within One week Meredith framed, sheet rock, finished our 3 walls, and one was really hard to design. On time like Swiss clock. Yes they are quite booked and have waiting list, but believe me, it is worth the wait, sometimes we want fast and end up with the wrong team. What I appreciated as well is that they are not mercenaries of work, they take jobs one after one and do not csncel you because you are small, or not a mansion or else. HONESTY all the way. Gentlemen and the ladies behind the scene from the bottom of my heart, thank you. We see each other for part 2 I would recommend them over and over for the outstanding work and finitions they did for us, at the right price.

When I first contacted James, he picked up his phone - points. He scheduled an appointment to view the property in a few days and showed up on time - more points. The quote was very reasonable and when we were ready, I contacted him again and he started work the following week. There were a couple of issues due to the transitions between new and old drywall (older house), but James and his crew knocked the workout in the originally scheduled days - ultimate points! I am pretty particular about the quality of work I allow in my home and my rental properties. I come from a construction background, but hate to drywall. You can't really ask more than someone who picks up the phone, sticks to his word and does great work on top of that. I hope this review will make you pick up the phone and call James/Meredith Drywall.
