This is a fun place to visit, especially before Christmas. My wife and I went by today in search of a few last grandchildren Christmas gifts. We love supporting this local business that has an incredibly large and diverse inventory. Every aisle is packed with toys and not just the popular stuff you see at the Big Box toy chains. There is literally something here for every kind of kid from babies to teens and even some for adults with young hearts! Today was the Saturday before Christmas and they had a live Santa there who was seated and ready to talk to children and let family take pictures with their phones. I listened to him talking to the kids and he was really quite good at getting responses. Some people say that some things are expensive here but I think you get what you pay for, their large inventory is a lot to keep up with and they always have the most helpful staff. read more

I love this store. I have gone here over thirty years. I have never had a bad experience. I used to take my son but he's 31 and moved away. That doesn't stop me. I still go buy candy for my husband and just visit with the employees and look around. It is,definitely, a child's paradise. It is for the child in every adult as well. read more

Very much felt as if I was rushed and almost like I was being watched and followed ; never experienced anything like that in this area so I was ready to leave honestly. I mean people want to look at everything and shouldn't feel like someone's over their shoulder continually . Just my friend and I had the same vibe all 3 times we tried walking around . read more

Stopped in and grabbed a last-minute Balloon Bouquet that they now offer and a gift for my nephew's birthday. They wrapped the present for FREE, and the balloon arch was gorgeous! So nice to have such a cute and convenient place right in KINGWOOD! Thanks, OTP!! read more

One of my daughters favorite places.. we try to go there once a week. Great service and good quality toys.

As my young Grandaughter says, this is paradise for kids. She loves it. Great stuff for youngsters.

If you want overpriced candy then this is the place to go. Not a lot of selection but the price you pay will definitely be more than the value of what you received. read more

They are very friendly and helpful with a large variety of toys. They also have several learning toys for the kids. And as a grandparent I like their assessment of candy. read more

This is the coolest toy store & candy shop ever! The toys are all high quality (Melissa and Doug type toys) and just so cool! We couldn't leave without spending some $$$. Also great book selection! So glad this place exists! We'll be back!!! read more

I just talked to Bex. She says she's the manager but she didn't seem too concerned that they wrapped gifts for my FIVE grand-sons and put the multiple gifts into the wrong bags. What was the point of me separating all the gifts into bags (with each name on the bag) if the girls, wrapping gift, are just going to place the gifts into any bag? I have now had to remove the wrapping paper to see each gift, wrap it back up and place it into the correct bag. What if I had not checked? I had a bad feeling they were careless and this is why I checked. I also stepped outside the store to give them plenty of time to wrap. But when I returned the girls saw me and started rushing around to wrap the gifts. They also did a poor job wrapping...little care was put into wrapping. I will buy a gift somewhere else next time, place it into a bag and put tissue paper around. The gift wrapping is a nice touch and it's one reason I pay more to shop here. But I will not be back anytime soon. I need to get the bad taste out before we come back...if we come back. read more

On the Park is literally the best place in Kingwood. I can't think of another place that makes me happier. Toys, candy, books, stuffed animals, games, and so much more...now how could that not put a smile on your face? Whether you're a kid or a kid at heart, it's always a treat to visit. The owners will know you by name by your second trip, and each time you visit they're excited to show you the latest and greatest items in the inventory. You can play with the toys, reminisce over the old school candies they've got, or buy your honey a fancy truffle or two. All the toys & games either encourage kids to use their brain, body, or both, making it easy to find a gift that will be well-loved and played with. And for the kid that has it all, you can always purchase the gigantic stuffed giraffe or life-sized wooden t-rex - they're just waiting for a good home! read more

I've been going to On The Park for quite a few years to get all the essential candy for my diet that cannot be found in a normal store. Way back when they used to be strictly candy and stuffed animals, but they have moved toward the front of Kingwood and evolved into a combination candy/toy store. What can be better, especially around the holidays, than getting your sweet tooth fix and knocking out a few Christmas presents at the same time? Now of course the toys are geared towards kids, but I've purchased many a stuffed animal for a girl here, which are top notch might I add. You can find some pretty sweet (no pun intended) candy here as well. My personal favorites are dark chocolate coated nuts and the 2 ft red licorice rope. They have a large selection of truffles and other top quality treats as well at the counter. Oh another thing, if you get a gift at the store, they will wrap it for you! And as an added bonus, if you spend so many dollars, you get wooden chips to spend at the store for the next time you come back! And yes, you will want to come back. As far as customer service goes, all the employees are very helpful. My family has known the owners for years and they are great people, very friendly and always ready to help. Heck, I was having the toughest time trying to find a present for my sis and they spent a good 10 minutes helping me find a perfect gift! If you're around and in town, stop by just to look and drool at the delicious candy. You'll get hooked I promise! read more

Holy Mother of Gawd this place is amazing. Scratches all my candy itches and then some. I got some licorice and some anise. I also gobbled on their free samples. Dark choco truffles and margarita jelly beans. Son of a. Staff are supa kool and friendly and I'll be back. read more

To the girl working at the On the Park toy store at the front of Kingwood Dr.; How DARE you tell my wife with our 1 year old twins to "get them both to calm down" because they are "being inappropriate". They are BABIES. All they were doing was crying because they were upset. You think the young mom of two little babies WANTS them to be upset in a public place?! No. Learn some manners. Never shopping at this dump again. Unbelievably rude. read more

They have a lot of hard to find toys here, good selection. Love all their chocolates, especially their truffles. Chocolate is a little expensive here though. read more

Great you store to find old and classic toys. I went in to find a "Parachute Man" toy which I couldn't find in any other stores. Only thing is that you can expect to pay a bit of a premium for the classic toys. But it is totally worth it! Music and candy in the store make you feel like a kid again. Is great to just look at old toys with your girlfriend or boyfriend if you just want to kill a couple of minutes! read more

I love On the Park. unique gifts for my grandkids. Friendly people. Was there today and I was disappointed to see that they sell candy cigarettes. We had them when I was a kid, but now we know the dangers and I feel selling them makes kids think it is fun to smoke one. Not sure that is a good thing! read more

I've been going here for years and my daughter is 6yrs old now and I've been coming before that just for the candy and some plush toys for myself! I'm a little upset that Covid ruined the candy experience but overall it has a great variety of toys for all ages. I was kinda take aback though that I didn't get any coins this time and I spent $80-$90 maybe they don't do that anymore. ‍ read more

THis store is fantastic. They carry a variety of old fashioned toys, candy, gifts. This is a great stop for a gift for any age. Whats even better, they gift wrap for free. I have found their prices to be a bit higher than regular merchants but their customer service and the gift wrapping makes up for that difference. The only problem I have run into is their hours. I believe they close at 7pm read more

Cute place to pick up children's gifts, candy, or toys in the front of Kingwood. Great prices, wonderful selection and friendly staff.

I love (non-box store) toy shops and Toys and Candy on the Park did not disappoint. We took the kids in to get pictures with Santa and to see if anything that caught their eye. They had a good variety of toys. I think their strong point is their line of educational toys. The feel of the place is cozy and fun. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Santa was great with the kids. We didn't feel rushed at all and he took time to listen to their wishes. The candy and treats section goes well with the theme. Their peppermint was awesome! We had fun, found some goodies and will definitely be back in the future. read more

I can not say enough about this wonderful place. My children love coming here. The staff is excellent and so accommodating. They have gone out of their way to order special toys and candy for us. They are very community oriented. This is a true Kingwood treasure. read more

I was so excited to take my daughter here, especially after seeing the great reviews. This quickly changed once I realized that my 5 year old and I, the only African American shoppers there, were being followed by the staff. I was utterly disgusted and will never go near this place again. read more
