Their hot meat sandwiches are to die for, and at around £3.50 won't break the bank. They are served with a side salad and homestyle crisps, so it is like a proper meal. I also love their posh ceese on toast, which is melted Brie, on thick slices of breadyummy. Even their coffees are great. But what makes it unique is that it specialies in local produce and will actually buy stock from locals (grown in allottments or gardens) for sale in the shop - what a fantastic concept and very much in line with the spirit of the age. The window displays are particularly mouth-watering and truly enticing, the staff very friendly and the produce always of the highest quality. It's not cheap but what it sells is well worth paying the extra for.

The locals seem to flock to this place pretty frequently. The owners new customers by name (always a great sign), and there was a line when we got there (which moved quickly). Everything was delivered quickly and we ate while reaching our forks over each other's plates to make sure everything was tried, and nothing was missed. The Porchetta sandwich has nice roasted pork and a crispy strip of pork skin to top it off. The description says it has a salsa verde sauce. To me, it was more like a pesto-style sauce. The pork was all meat and didn't have any globs of fat that you sometimes find in American pulled pork barbecue. The Jerk Chicken Sandwich was the weekly special. It consisted of several pieces of skin-on mostly dark meat chicken, house made slaw and I think a little mayo. I took off the chicken skin. It wasn't crispy and I don't care for much chicken skin. Even doing that, it had good flavor. A nice blend of spices and a little spiciness. I didn't eat it right away but it was still good. Like I said, I ordered this sandwich the next day. This time I ate it soon after ordering. The roll was still warm and slightly crunchy. I liked even more when eating it "fresh." I removed the skin on this one too. I used the take out window on the side and they were pretty quick, even though there were about four or five people in front of me. I'll definitely go back when in town and craving a sandwich.
