Beyond her stunning work, she is a such a pleasure to work with; quick to reply in correspondence and very helpful in getting you information that will help with other elements of your big day (she kindly introduced me to my makeup artist). When she arrived to the hotel to do our pre-City Hall ceremony shots, she jumped right in to helping me get the best shots...in some ways, she was more helpful than my family who was there to help! Leah was also very generous with her time; she traveled with us to 3 separate locations to get a diversity of shots. Thank you so much, Leah...truly. You really made one of the best days of my life even better!

We're so grateful to have selected Solare Wedding Photography for our June wedding. We were…read morefortunate to work with Cory, who was happy to offer a custom package to meet our less traditional needs. Cory has a great handle on her role as a wedding photographer, and never overstepped but was able to comfortably guide our family and guests through the round of family photos, and she didn't miss any of our requests. The photos look true-to-life and aren't obviously filtered except for some black and white. Our cousin married in late parole and received her photo gallery a week before we received ours. Solare is a fantastic value considering the results, and I really don't think we could've found a better fit for our wedding.

I'll preface this by saying I'm was a wedding photographer myself -- my family owns a wedding video…read moreand photo business in PA, I was editing photos and putting together photo albums in 3rd grade, and shot 200 weddings between eighth grade and freshman year of college. When it came to hiring a photographer for my own wedding, I wanted a photographer who would focus on capturing cherished moments and expressions of the people we love, and my bar for quality was extremely high. We hired Nora and Solare Wedding Photography after interviewing 11 other photographers. Nora stood out from the pack immediately with her professional communication and attention to our wedding and us as a couple. She didn't treat us like just one of her many clients -- she wanted to learn about what was most important to us about our day, so she could focus on those elements when capturing our wedding. Preparation was smooth sailing -- Nora had well-defined forms to help her understand our timeline and gave helpful feedback. We had a ridiculously long day (prep - first look - ceremony - ice cream social - pictures at church - outdoor pictures - reception) and Nora helped us figure out how to integrate the formal portraits and group pictures we wanted into the activity of our day. Day of, Nora and her assistant were some combination of saints and miracle workers. There was a good deal of early drama (prep running behind, left hotel late for ceremony, etc) that lead to bride-freak-outs multiple times, but Nora and her assistant kept their cool and capture the moment and kept us moving along. There was not a shot missed nor photo op rushed -- everything was perfect. We received our photos back about six weeks after our wedding, and I was blown away by the depth of expression and emotion that Nora captured. Every smile, every funny face, every nervous expression, every joyous and loving moment was documented for us. Nora also responded quickly and professionally to changes to exposure that I requested on some photos. I couldn't have been happier with the final product. Solare Wedding Photography gets our wholehearted recommendation!

I worked with Jill after reading glowing reviews online, particularly TheKnot.com. Our initial…read morephone call was stellar, and my husband and I felt reassured we were making the right decision. Who showed up to our wedding day was a woman with a very poor attitude, which was noted by our vendors as well as our wedding party. Jill's photos are nice, but nothing spectacular. She provided the same photo with many different filters which felt like a waste. Many of our photos with family members look very awkward due to placement, and large amounts of space between people. Jill always seemed to have something going on, which she absolutely brought with her to work. Rather unfortunate as someone who promises to capture the best day of your life, while radiating negativity and a piss poor mood. I was unfortunately pressured by Jill to write a stellar review prior to receiving our photos. She made me feel terrible stating that her business was in need of reviews as business had been slow. Super unprofessional, and makes you wonder how many of the 4-5 star reviews are actually accurate. Given that she still had ALL of our wedding photos, I felt that I had no choice. I tried to side step and wait until we had our actual photos but she basically harassed us and guilted us in to it. Jill should probably consider photographing something besides weddings, perhaps nature or animals. Feel free to roll the dice and give her a try, but hiring Jill as our photographer was single handedly the worst decision we made regarding our wedding. Now we are forced to re-visit this terrible experience every time we look at our photos. We honestly wish we had my brother-in-law who is a amateur photographer capture our day. With absolutely no experience, he would have done a better job.

We reached out to her because of her amazing reviews on The Knot and now we understand why everyone has had a five star experience with her. Leading up to the wedding she made sure we got every picture we could think of and suggested a few more we never would have thought of that we love. The morning of the wedding she covered everything from candids in the hotel room getting ready to the first look to the ceremony and reception. Her and her team really captured the whole day and night perfectly without feeling intrusive - I don't know how they did it. Jill has such a gift for capturing your most cherished moments. My husband and I would highly recommend her!

She was so professional and experienced that she was able to parse back and nail it. Without a first-look and formal photo session before the wedding, we were isolated to the cocktail hour. She was able to find the perfect backdrops around our venue to get people in place, snap the photo, and send them back to the fun of cocktail hour. She was able to blend into the excitement of the day to be everywhere without being obviously in everyone's face. Her demeanor on the day-of was so professional and relaxed that it made the photo process stress-free. Then within days of the wedding, she was already finishing editing photos for her blog, with the full set in less than a month. I was so impressed with the quality of the shots I doubled down and am having her do a photobook as well. Overall, she was extremely flexible and professional from start to finish with a stunning end product that leaves family and friends going - who was the photographer!

We found Janet through the New England School of Photography and, after seeing the images on her website and talking with her, we booked her (over a year in advance!). She met me at the venue when I was back east for some planning and I could immediately see we'd made a great choice. She was open to our ideas, but also had great ideas of her own as well as some suggestions that were helpful. On our big day, she was terrific. She was moving the entire time, quietly orchestrating some lovely moods & moments and also capturing many fun images while no one knew she was there. Our dear friend, and ceremony officiant, said Janet was the perfect combination of directive without being bossy, and open to spontaneity. About 2 weeks after the wedding, she sent us a link with 300+ images posted online and we were thrilled. About a month later we received a photo album with all those images, as well as all the images on a CD, which we will treasure forever. The CD made it easy to copy all the pictures to my computer to send and create a really fun holiday card. Since then we have selected several 8x10 and 5x7 images that Janet printed and we have framed. We love them. I should also mention that Janet's fees are very reasonable, especially given her level of skill and experience, and that you get the photo album and a CD. She's a really nice woman, with lots of positive energy and enthusiasm. I recommend her most highly for your special event.
