I was a bit disappointed but then I walked into the magical purveyor of Colorado decor and that feeling went away quickly. They have home decor, jewelry, clothes and other goodies. When discussing amongst ourselves whether to get the ring, the sales lady reassured us that if it was on the table and had a labelled price it was 50% off that price. We purchased the ring (with the same sales lady) only to find out that when it was rung up it was still $19.95, we were told that the ring was originally $75 and that's why we couldn't get any further discount despite it being on the half off table. The ring (that is originally supposed to be $75!!) broke in half after only 24 hours

We've been visiting Steamboat for 20+ years and have always taken people into this shop. I finally…read morebought an expressive piece of jewelry from them - a $3,000 opal and diamond ring. Almost immediately the stone on the ring completely cracked. We went back to the store thinking that they would replace or repair it. We had to visit the store three times before being able to talk to anyone or have any action taken. The first two times the lady working behind the counter told us that she "didn't work there and couldn't help us." Despite the fact that she was working the cash register! Finally the third time the owner, Bashar, was there. He told us immediately that the damage must have been caused by us, the buyer. We were polite and insisted that he try to find a remedy. I had the ring on for little time before it fell apart. We left it in their care and then we spent over 6 months politely following up with him. At one point Bashar offered to make the ring right if we paid him an extra $1,000.00. At that point we asked for him to send it back to us, with insurance. It took another two months of consistent follow up before he finally sent the damaged ring back. In sum, buyer beware. That store and the people that work there are con artists. I'll return to Steamboat, but I'll never again set foot in that store or subject any guest to their fraud.
