I was very afraid I would be extremely uncomfortable and to be honest grossed out by any facility to a point I'd run for the door by day two. My actual experience was the complete opposite. From the moment I stepped into the lobby I was set at ease. The facility was immaculate, the accommodations for the entire month were excellent. Aside from the cleanliness, rooms and facility cleaned daily by the most pleasant women, the dinning hall was also what I would consider above standards for a rehab center. The kitchen staff goes above and beyond to keep the menu rotating with some of the chefs even adding in some fun ethnic personal cuisines. If you didn't like what was in the menu there was a salad bar at lunch and dinner along with options uncrustables, making your own PBJ, and tons of snacks. As for the most important, the actual recovery program, I found it to be exactly wha was needed. I was able to reset from a very long depression, practice coping mechanisms for anxiety attacks, and almost never think of turning substance use while there. The staff will go above to make sure that you are treated on a personal basis instead of lumping you in as "just another addict". Psychiatry was able to help me find a better medication for my diagnosis than any other professional I have had in the last twenty plus years. Small groups focused on the needs of that group daily. Large groups can become somewhat repetitive but I found the structure and routine of it all very helpful when transitioning back into life outside of Pinelands. I honestly could not recommend this place more to anyone who is suffering from addiction or needs help with addiction caused by depression or anxiety.

While I do follow AA in my recovery it was important to me that I learn about what is available. Food was good, the setting is quiet and pretty. I'm still active in the Alumni Program. Her staff is VERY professional, friendly, and welcoming to all genders, nationalities, personalities, etc. It's very easy to schedule/cancel/reschedule appointments and you are seen in a timely manner of your appointment time! No matter how you have felt at other addiction facilities you will feel like you have been to this practice many times with comfort and ease to get the supportive help that you most need. The patient rooms are very clean, with comfortable small couches to help you relax and be more yourself in an engaged, motivational and uplifting office visit. Also, they offer individual and group therapy sessions and, probably, other services that I don't know about. They were horrible and not empathetic towards a 68 year old woman. I saw them for 7 months only to…read morespend hundreds of dollars to get "worse". I had to see 3 PAs before seeing a doctor who finally ordered MRI. They left me unable to walk for a month and unable to put pressure on my foot due to severe pain in my knee. They saw I was unable to even walk. Again just appt after appt. and no relief. I went to Rothman and within 2 weeks I saw the back dr and the knee dr and got epidural injection and on the road to recovery. With Virtua I was still waiting on an appt with the Dr to review my MRI at the end of this month and then another month for an injection for a pinched nerve in back. At Rothman everything was completed in two weeks. Rothman doctors were compassionate, listened, answered questions and did not rush in and out. The difference between Virtua and Rothman is like night and day. I was treated poorly at Virtua and excellent at Rothman. In my opinion Virtua Orthopedics is just a "money grab" and they should be ashamed of themselves! I am Team Rothman Forever!

Having no experience with any of this we put our trust in the treatment facility to guide him in the right direction. Humble Beginnings is very client focused. They helped my son with finding his root issues and have given him the guidance to be able to correct his behavior. The care of the staff is unbelievable, they are kind, knowledgeable, caring and definitely can relate to their patients. There are numerous reasons for needing a psychiatrist. Im very open about mine (mainly anxiety and large amounts of stress from being a single parent and I'm overly emotional - STILL hurt and adjusting to divorced life after 11 1/2 years, plus in general - just who I am . . . !) I am a strong proponent of mental health help and ending the stigma of having mental "illness," a term that I LOATHE! There's a history of anxiety and depression in my family. UGH! I have those, along with insomnia and OCD!!! There is no shame in getting help. "They" equate depression/anxiety, etc., to a Diabetic needed insulin . . . very true. Just do what you have to basically! Having a good psychiatrist in place is so important to your overall health. They track your medication and reactions to it / them. Meds are "tweaked" when necessary. Dr. Talati airs on the cautious side and is definitely NOT "med happy!" In fact, she won't even put me back on Lunesta :( that another doctor had me on. Dr. Talati has helped me tremendously, in addition to my counselor. Having both is the ideal. Her office is very tranquil and private. It's also welcoming. Insurance guidelines change in 2020, so be careful. Lastly, Dr. Talati offers TMS if you're a candidate. Just watch out for those disgusting co-pays!

Dr. Talati is a good doctor. She is one of the few psychiatrists who will listen to you and your…read moreconcerns and won't treat you like a guinea pig with medication. She will identify where your problem area is and prescribe a medication to address it verses other "doctors" that have asked me, "so what do you want to try?" Then list all the medications out there, which is so wrong. Some medications work well on receptors to release more hormones where others block the uptake. She understands this and explains it. When you see her, just be flexible because she is not always on time since she does have many patients and gives them more time if it's needed. This is also a good thing because she won't cut you off if your time is up. She is genuine.
