In which I've asked every one of them to keep the temperatures manageable. I have had a heat stroke, and when the club is at 80 degrees it is a health concern to have a heat stroke victim's core temperature get out of control. I would always get ignored. Recently, my husband and I had had enough after my 7 years of membership and brought it up again. We were charged $120, per person, a year for a maintenance fee on top of our monthly dues. We approached the GM and she video conferenced Dennice Young, a regional manager. Dennice proceeds to tell us that we can't have access to the ceiling fans, that my health issue really isn't a problem in their gym and they can't be sued if I fall down from heat exhaustion, refused to give us the phone number of anyone higher up, and started yawning when I was presenting my complaint. She also said it was a HIPAA violation to give that information out, yet I see right here on Yelp that it talks about Brian, the owner, and even what city he lives in. I'm not interested in being insulted and my business not valued. She also would not tell us what the additional $120 per person was used for, as there have never been any new additions to the club to warrant the fee. She basically said the owner had the discretion of doing what he wants and we don't deserve to know as members. After 7 years it is abundantly clear that anytime fitness doesn't really want my money and loyalty and won't ever have it again. The customer service is abhorrent and if I could give it less than one star I would. Anytime, do yourself a favor and get rid of Dennice, she is not doing you any favors in keeping your members around. In fact, a few others have told me they are canceling their membership because they can't get good customer service there either.

The so called owner is never there so when someone would like to tan after work at 5:00 pm or later you can't because the doors to the tanning bed are locked. Even though it states that they are open until 8:00 pm. The owner is very, very rude not friendly at all treats people like they are beneath him. Glad I am no longer a member of that place and never will again.

Four visits and every time I told whoever was manning the desk that when you get in the shower it's hot then when you have your long hair full of shampoo, it goes to cool, not lukewarm even. I travel and rely on the showers and it is very uncomfortable to take cold showers. The last time I told them, the girl just looked at me, like I was a nuisance, so I will be moving on. Sad.

On another occasion prior to this the same 2 "STAFF" were in the locker room laughing and talking about a boy and some party they were going to for one of thir birthdays while the other staff was working.. And everytime I come in while they are "working" they are never actually working. Glad to know my membership fees are being used for these girls to stand around and do nothing while on the clock. Looks like to me this gym is over staffed for this time frame.

I have called and asked the front desk what temperature their sauna runs at and nobody knows. Twice in the same workout session I was dress coded in the middle of the workout floor. I was wearing a sports bra and they brought me a shirt and told me to put it on. While several other women were wearing the exact same thing. I understand company policy, but enforce it equally. I still see girls in skimpy sports bras everyday I workout, but none of them get humiliated on the gym floor like I did. This YMCA discriminates. And if I had the money to sue them I would. Terrible place with terrible hours, and the worst employees.

But apparently there are other ways to cancel. But she was certainly adamant that in person was the road to freedom. After surgery, some recovery I got myself together and schlepted down to planet fitness to find i was not permitted to cancel until I paid yet another month on top of the two I didn't use. I refused, posted a complaint. Was invited to send a note email to a corporate person i imagine. No response after I sent additional information including my phone number. Planet Fitness must be in trouble if they must lie to keep people from leaving. I went because my plumbing wasn't working and it kept raining, no shower. So I found this spider hiding in there hole. Pretty sad group.
