At the same time, I had been struggling with my forearm after tweaking it while doing curls. For nearly a year, I saw a physical therapist and even received a PRP injection, but nothing seemed to be relieving the pain. Dr. Brent recommended I try laser therapy, and after about six sessions, my forearm was feeling great. I'm definitely looking forward to trying it on other areas that have been giving me trouble. We got in right away with no issues. The experience we had was so much better than any expectations we had. We expected to be squeezed in and have a lot of hassle proving the care that she needed. What we got was a wonderful reception and set of people over the entire office. The front staff was incredibly helpful getting us checked in and comfortable. They were also very polite and happy while making the entire visit easy and pleasant. Dr. Mitch was above and beyond, however. He read through the online records from our current doctor's office. He knew right away what was going on and exactly what to do to get my wife some relief. He didn't try to sell us on a lot of extra things - he simply got to the root of the problem and helped her to feel better. But then, he sat and talked to us about her diagnosis and things she had been doing and offered some very helpful and insightful advice that we could take back and discuss with our current care providers. He recommended cold laser therapy to help heal a particularly troublesome area for her, and also performed a cold laser treatment on the spot. He also went more in-depth on some suggestions we'd gotten before, but he explained them in much better terms to help us understand which treatments we may want to really focus on and which we should perhaps stop. Overall, my wife left feeling much better, and we came away much more hopeful about solutions that will lead to permanent relief and not just pain management. Call it divine intervention, spooky coincidence... this was the first place I found with the first open appointment. Dr Chris is personable and takes time to explain things thoroughly, but calmly. The neck pain I've always written off as stress since my teenage years? Apparently that's not normal. I learned a lot in my consult, information needing my immediate attention and action. We put together a treatment plan, milestones and goals included, with an understanding that if things haven't improved in 3 months, we'd need a neck MRI. They connected with my insurance to find out what would be covered, and what I can expect to pay. No surprise billing. I'm starting to feel better, pain is reducing, mobility improving, excited to see where my X rays are in a few weeks. So far so good. I began to have tense lower back and upper back pain but just thought I was not stretching enough or needed to work on my posture at work and school, but soon realized it was much worse than that. First I went to a Sports Medicine doctor that told me to work on my core an referred me to physical therapy. That worked for about a couple months and then the fatigue and cramps came back but things got progressively worse, my energy got low and I felt like I was not myself. After researching my symptoms it became obvious that I needed to see a Chiropractor. I started my treatment, but did not feel fulfilled at other clinics. After all my friends and family knew I had this issue that didn't seem to want to go away, they began looking for great recommendations for a good Chiro to send me, since people say "a good one is hard to come by." Well, my mother found the Minnesota Monthly 2014 Top Chiropractor list and I did the rest. Thank God for her ! After zooming into the Chiro's that were closest to my job and school, I found Doctor Josh Stephens's practice Health Source and it has been great ever since! He is truly a great Chiro who is invested in you getting better. The office is always neat and clean. His assistant Erica is kind and pleasant. Dr. Stephens and I worked together on a plan for my improvement and I am a testament of the plan working and life changing! (Seriously). To start off our plan he suggested Active care which required me to come in 3x a week for a month. Then we moved it down to 2x a week and now I go 1x a week for maintenance until I have the occasional flare up due to stress. The take away is, I feel so brand new every time I go and I am eternally grateful. It is conveniently located in LaSalle plaza near CRAVE on the skyway level and accessible during the lunch break, so check them out if you need a Chiro.
