Wow, I've tried with her. She is controlling & judgmental. She does not appreciate my input. I am a…read moreperson who will be involved in my care. She wants to say what she has to say and doesn't listen. She actually talks over me. She wants me to come in every 4 months for lab work & a follow up reading. I recently went in for my annual Medicare physical. I was asked by the pre-visit provider, all the questions. I reported frightening symptoms of depression/anxiety which I was feeling. Clearly she did not even review my information. When I told her my antidepressant was not working she said she would change my medication (a week later not done, according to my pharmacist). When I told her that I couldn't find a psychotherapist she informed me, "there are no psychotherapists in the Valley"; seemed to have a real problem with my terminology. Her response was "you still want a 'counselor' ? I changed you medicine." I hear a lot of judgment. I found a report, from September of last year (2021) in my Portal of a chest x-ray she had ordered for chest congestion. The report stated "evidence of chronic interstitial fibrosis." Although this can be serious and she had ordered it, she apparently had not seen it or told me about it. Her only response was "do you want to see a lung doctor?" I have the appointment now. There was NO examination during my Medicare wellness visit last week; she only listened to my heart. She read off my vitals including my temperature 94.6. When I told her no one had taken my temperature she said "well it says that right here." (I had been running a low grade fever from a stomach virus.) She did nothing more plus she reported the number on my record, as if I were lying. When I mentioned my chronic pain she got down right belligerent; told me "you have had enough tests" (even though I had not asked for nor suggested any). Then she began to read them, my tests, going back more than 2 years, even before I began seeing her. This is not an isolated incident. Her method of "medical care" is to tell you what she wants to say and read off your most recent lab & any other tests & have you come back every few months to do the same. Her paradigm leaves the "human" she's treating, totally out. This is unhelpful, if not dangerous. She has some good reviews so I think there must be people who prefer this method OR.... just don't know any different way. As a retired 40 year Registered Nurse from Kansas I have never even heard of this kind of "care" and truly don't understand how it could be construed as even okay with any patient.

She was the first doctor here in the valley who knew to do a full thyroid panel. I did not have to ask her for it. So, she is very knowledgeable. Second, I only see female doctors because many, not all, male doctors do not listen; she does. She has been taking care of my health for 20 years and I have been doing great. I recommend her to all my friends. She is truly the best!

Crappy. One of the doctors told me to come in so they could treat the abcess on my arm. They did…read morenothing! So, when I got home I stuck it with a razor blade & squeezed it as hard as I could. It hurt like hell but a bunch of bloody crap shot all over my shirt & shorts, and it seems flat now. They don't deserve any stars, but I couldn't post it without one.

I called two weeks ago to set up an appointment, as I was a patient who hadn't been to the doctor for 3 years. I was kindly told, "I'd be considered a new patient" & they would call me back, never got a callback. I called again, and was placed on hold, never heard back. I called back, and finally, the secretary told me I would have to see a new Doctor in May. I asked more about the policy of becoming a new patient and how that was determined during the pandemic, she was not knowledgeable in the subject, so she transferred me. At this point, I was emotional and wanted to let the Vima Care team know that their policies should be more well-known to patients. The woman I spoke to interrupted me multiple times, then questioned my lack of medical care within the last 3 years, as they had online care during the pandemic. She went on to say, "you never needed medicine?" and "you never needed to see the doctor in 3 years" in a snarky voice. I expressed that these policies should be explained to the secretarial staff, and she said, "we will consider it." It baffles me that basic knowledge of how Vima Care operates would be something to keep from secretarial staff, thus creating a stressful environment for workers dealing with emotional patients because they lack the knowledge, as I experienced.

He helps patients set goals to improve their health and follows up on problems and goals each visit. Dr. George is very knowledgeable in internal medicine. He is also trained in pulmonary medicine. His knowledge and experience make him a excellent diagnostician. When required he prescribes tests to fully analyze an illness or condition, and integrates this information into effective treatment. He is very thoughtful and knowledgeable about the use of medication both for acute and chronic conditions. Dr. George is friendly and also has a sense of humor. In addition he is very open to constructive criticism of the operations of the practice, Valley Internal Medicine Associates (VIMA). Dr. George maintains and uses detailed electronic medical records. He is also very responsive to communications submitted via the practice's web portal. Dr. George is one of three physicians that operate the practice as a corporation. Dr. George is very supportive of the practice's goal to provide a broad set of medical services to adults. This allows immediate use of laboratory tests, x-rays, and the other diagnostic tools within a single visit to the office. I am giving Dr. George a rating of five stars because he has provided me exceptional medical services that exceed my expectations of a primary care physician.
