I used to go here 10 years ago, so this review is for 2005. As far as I can remember, I liked this gym.

It is not easy leaving a one-star review for WCF as it is not a reflection on the amazing people…read morewho work there. Cinnamon, Jennifer, Mikey, Brian, McKayla and the rest of the staff will always greet you with a smile and genuinely ask how you are. I have built a family and community at WCF and will miss it very much. But I cannot support a business where the owner sides with the good ol' boys club and his pals bullying someone off a machine over doing what's right by the customer. I was doing super sets at the gym when an older man came up to me and told me he was going to be using one of the machines I was using. He didn't even ask to work in with me. I told him I had two more sets, and it would be done quickly. He then proceeded to touch my things and move them from the machine. I asked the owner, Brian, for help, thinking he would ask this man to wait. I've been working out at this gym for 2.5 years and supersets are standard practice here. Sometimes you get lucky and can work in with others, and sometimes you just have to wait your turn or find an alternative machine. I've had to wait many times because I am no more entitled to a machine than anyone else. While this man, Paul, is using the machine I was just using, Brian makes a feeble attempt to "mediate" the situation, which is a nice way of saying he was siding with his buddy. In the time Brian was taking to talk to him, I could have finished my workout and been done. It was very clear that Brian was playing favorites with his buddy. The right thing to do would have been to tell his friend Paul ( a GROWN 70+ man by the way) to wait. I have never experienced anything like this before at a gym and had Mikey or Cinnamon been managing that day, I know the situation would have been handled correctly.

The gym is full of pushy boomers. I saw an older man force a woman off the hip abductor machine…read more The woman took the issue to the owner of the business who did nothing about the situation because they were acquaintances. If that's the type of behavior they accept from their members, you're better off spending your money at Planet Fitness.

Staff is friendly, locker room clean, equipment generally in good repair. I have been frustrated…read morewith the at the lack of adequate air conditioning. As the weather continues to get hotter, the environment inside the facility has become increasingly uncomfortable and difficult to work out in. Staff indicate the best way to communicate this is through complaints, so here goes! At present, the only relief seems to come from a few overhead fans and a single open door at the entrance. Unfortunately, this does very little to improve airflow or reduce the temperature, especially during peak hours when the gym is crowded. The heat and poor ventilation make it challenging to complete workouts safely and effectively. A fitness facility should provide a comfortable and well-regulated environment for its members. Right now, the conditions fall short of that expectation and detract significantly from the overall experience. Other gyms in the area offer memberships with more comfortable workout environments. If this issue isn't addressed soon, I may need to consider switching to another facility that can provide a better experience, especially during the warmer months. I'm sure other members would also appreciate it if this issue could be addressed promptly, whether that means repairing or upgrading the air conditioning system, or implementing additional measures to improve airflow and cooling. I hope to see improvements soon!

Still has that fresh paint smell as well as ripped up carpet! Immediately you can tell this place…read moreis up and ready to go! All the machines appear brand new and it's all a bit of the standard Planet Fitness stuff that you get. Definitely a lot of cardio machines with all the weights at the very front. There's also a couple of side spaces for stretching as well as other kinds of exercise. It's not the biggest location by far but it's definitely functional and has most of the things that one would need. The only big downside it seems is parking. Parking just seemed very limited and it's a pretty tight parking lot that it shares with many other businesses. Other than that the employees are friendly and everything is clean. Locker room sort also a little bit tight. But still recommended!

I frequently come here to work out since it is free for military and their dependents. I've also…read moretaken friends when they visit from out of town. The fee for civilians is $5.50, which is steep in my opinion; however, this is a base gym and primarily meant for military so I can't complain. The staff is friendly and very helpful. They have several fitness classes that are complimentary for active duty and their dependents. They also have a variety of equipment (free weights, treadmills, ellipticals, etc.) and a separate gym for families I believe. In addition to the gym equipment, they have tons of televisions, racquetball courts, basketball courts, and a pool (although the pool is closed at the present time). I've come during the summer and find that they keep the place pretty cool (especially in comparison to the Bangor gym). Finally, they have towels to borrow and free wifi, which is always nice :) My only complaint would be that their hours are limited, especially on the weekends and when the carrier is out. This is the result of government cuts so not much the gym can do about that. It can also get crowded at times, but then I just try to come during the day when most people are at work or close to closing time.
