This bookstore has quite a large selection, given the size of the location. The Science Fiction…read moresection is rather impressive. The prices are shockingly reasonable. I came away with three paperbacks in good condition for less than $5. The owner is a delight, and quite helpful. Only two minor caveats. The business hours are limited, so check to see if she's open before you head out there. Also, hit the ATM before you go, because it is cash only.

I got to talking with one of the employees and learned that the bookstore that has been around in different forms since the 1920s!!! l. They carry a mix of new books, local authors, children's books and all kinds of quirky and fun gifts.. It's a great place to slow down, browse, and find something you didn't even know you wanted. I'll definitely stop by again the next time I'm in the area.

Everything about this store is perfect...the decor, the cat (I didn't get to see him :(. But saw of his haunts) , the selection. There are sections for mystery, sci-fi, fantasy and my favorite romance. And within those sections there are local author shelves. The staff was welcoming and helpful, and offered recommendations if needed. Fun store!

BAM became as much a toy store as a bookstore some years ago. It's actually gotten a little better…read morerecently, actually gave some floor space back to books. I was there Monday. My friend went to the restroom and came back wanting to leave because there was no t.p., but I went and got a young man who had the good grace to be embarrassed and to fix it promptly. I bought three books and got a very nicely prepared cup of coffee at the JoeMuggs area. The franchise has reduced the offerings at the area, but I was always a cup of coffee kind of person anyway. The cashier had to go across to a different register to preorder the new Prince Harry book for me, but it was handled efficiently and I got a reduced preorder price which included shipping to my home and is significantly less than I would have paid on Amazon (I checked). So, it was a pleasant visit to what is more bookstore than toy store and I saved a few bucks. Very nice.
