Before the wedding, I attended a trial where I brought inspiration photos for both my hair and makeup. Sherri took the time to try a couple of different bun techniques, while I gave Karyna creative freedom with my makeup. They both completely brought my vision to life. On the wedding day, I decided to make a few changes to both my hair and makeup, and they adapted seamlessly. The final look felt polished and beautiful while still feeling like me, which was exactly what I wanted. My hair and makeup lasted the entire day, and both I and my bridesmaids received countless compliments. Several of the girls even commented that it was the best hair and makeup they had ever had done. Sherri and Karyna arrived on time, stayed on schedule, and helped make the morning run smoothly. I was paired with them randomly, and while I'm sure Prep has many talented artists, these two were the perfect fit for me. I would happily book with them again in the future and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for wedding hair and makeup services. As for Prep as a salon, the entire experience was excellent. Their team was responsive and easy to communicate with throughout the planning process, and their wedding hair and makeup packages were the best value I found during my search. Everything went smoothly from start to finish, and the new salon is absolutely beautiful.

Her teacher came to check up every few minutes, to make sure it was done proper. The maturity, knowledge, and the skill of this student was admirable. The pricing was also shockingly cheap (1/5 what I'm used to paying in Toronto). Don't expect to be a in and out experience though! It IS an institution after all, so the student had paper work to fill out and consultation process, with the discussion with the teacher also added some time (I was there for 90 mins). I enjoyed every minute I was there, and would definitely recommend this salon.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience. I booked my appointment in March for the end of…read moreJune and planned my schedule around it. Then, only one hour before my appointment, I received a call saying that one of the hairstylists was sick and that I would have to reschedule. While I understand that emergencies happen, what is completely unacceptable is being told that the next available appointment is at the end of October--meaning I would have to wait another four months after already waiting several months for my original appointment. This level of scheduling and customer service is very disappointing. Clients invest their time, plan ahead, and trust that their appointments will be respected. Cancelling at the last minute and offering a replacement date four months later shows a lack of consideration for customers. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution others before booking here, especially if they have important plans or deadlines

I just paid $45 in Kansas City to have a disappointing cut that left me with nothing I wanted, plus an entire wasted morning. I was given Paul, who I was told was the senior stylist. I arrived with a minute to spare. Parking in the rear is a huge help. The building is a house on the end of a residential neighborhood. There are products for sale on every level. The service was helpful enough & I was asked if I wanted a beverage, and had a hot green tea in a paper cup, not fancy but it's hot tea and good enough. It was on Friday afternoon at 2:00. The place was packed and mostly middle aged and older women clients, but plenty of 20-30-something clients also to keep it mixed up. I saw a truly great looking older woman hair cut & style go out the door. Paul listened to me & looked at the couple of photos I showed him, and he did exactly what I wanted, to perfection. It kinda took my breath away how effortlessly he did it. I have several cowlicks, and lots of fine wavy hair that isn't doing as well in a long style as when I was younger (I'm in my mid-50's). Paul did a style that was as "precise" and stylish as a couple of top-rated stylists I saw who were rated in the "Best Of" in Dallas and Kansas City. He took out bulk, make the hairline tight around my ears, kept the back hairline from looking too severe, and had the bangs _exactly_ like the photo and my description. He gave his thoughts on my current color & highlights. I usually look for L'Oreal Professional hair color, but might try the brand they use there (I'm going to keep going to him, and if he keeps doing the same quality of work, I'll always have a good hair day.

That being said, asking for a consultation prior to your actual cut, gives the stylist a chance to understand your hair and your expectation, so she can discuss it.
