They close between lunch and dinner (closed from 14:00-18:00), and after multiple attempts I finally made it here when they were open. A variety of familiar dishes are served and everything is made with love and care. I saw a number of Japanese families come here for dinner. We had the tonkotsu ramen and the Kyoto shoyu ramen with gyoza. Both ramens were tasty and flavored well. In the tonkotsu ramen you could see the globs of delicious fat that are signature of true pork bone soup and it was rich in flavor. The Kyoto ramen is a lighter soup with thinner noodles and super tasty. The gyozas were perfectly made and cooked. Sadly, they were vegetable only but so delicious. Overall, solidly good food that I would love to have every day. Food: 5/5 Delicious home-cooked Japanese food. Atmosphere: 4/5 It has an open kitchen so it feels like sitting in someone's dining room. There are bookcases filled with Japanese books all around. Service: 4/5 Servers were polite and friendly. Value: 3/5 Ramen was around ~12 euros, so prices were average.

Perhaps it's well suited to Japanese people but not for the general population who expect something from a Japanese restaurant. No sushi no tepanyaki style cooking! Was very average and utterly disappointing for a sushi lover. Had to comeback without dinner :( Overly priced! Sake is just 16 euros which should be 3.50 realistically. Waitress's don't speak any English nor Dutch so hard to explain what you want or what's their fav dish. Menu is in Japanese with bad English translations. What the heck is "tasted beef"??? Very expensive for a Japanese place. Hmm not again.

I'd been to their restaurant located near Zuid, so expectations weren't great, but this branch of the restaurant really surprised me, in a good way, with much superior service! The shoutouts go to two servers in particular - Fabiola was wonderful at check-out and Tibi gave great suggestions on what to order as it was the first time dining here for my two companions. Fabiola also gave us a frequent visitor card to this Restaurant chain (they have 4 diversified restaurants) and made no issues about splitting the bills, so massive props for that consideration. Food wise, I felt made better choices here too, thanks to Tibi, compared to my previous choices. I ordered nos 121 - Saigon salad rolls and nos410 - roasted spare ribs (less €2.50 without rice). The Salad rolls were okay, but I thought the Papaya salad, which one of my co-diners ordered, took the prize home for the best appetizer. Would absolutely get this again, as the dressing was tart and sweet and perfectly coated the raw papaya beautifully. The Roasted Spare Ribs was also a winner. It was a massive plate of food, and very filling. Loved the sauce, but I wish there has been just a bit of vegetable, like buck-choy, added to this dish. Great service, wonderful food - I will return back to this location of Saigon Càphê for sure! Yelp 213/ 2018

Amber Garden is an award-winning, ex-Michelin restaurant serving authentic yet elevated Chinese food by Head Chef Song. Each dish was executed well with an appreciation to different regions of China. I particularly enjoyed the snow crab salad, Beijing duck, and beef short ribs. I'm getting hungry just thinking about how beautiful yet tasty these dishes were! I was shocked at how empty it was and highly recommend you check them out.

We started with some dim sum and peppery hot and sour soup, which served as a nice appetizer. Then we really enjoyed the full Peking duck. The accompanying & optional duck skin dish with caviar was over the top and not worth the extra attention and cost. The spicy Radish cake with XO sauce was my favorite and the scallion pancake with pork was a close second. The fried fish was mostly fried and less fish-still had a lot of flavor. The service was impeccable. I would return again to try the other dishes.
