She had dementia so we were already grieving for some time as parts of her memory and function continued to slip away. My mother first met with Clinton and she was so impressed by how detailed he was in aspiring to create an experience that honored my grandmother's life vs simply directing a funeral. She said he even opened with a prayer. When we met for the second time, the whole immediate family was there and we got the same compassionate, professional experience that opened with a prayer and a review of EVERY single detail of the experience he wanted to create for us - including the sermon, music, flowers, programs, and prayer cards. I liked that he had a working professional relationship and friendships with so many pastors, musicians and florists in the community and knew them well, so his recommendations and observations were also spot on. It felt good to walk out of there knowing that even though we were approaching our darkest hour of grief, we were in steady, capable hands for he exudes such confidence and professionalism that you know he can be trusted to deliver. And deliver he did. If you know anything about dementia, one of the worst things about watching your loved one's mind disappear is watching them physically waste away to skin and bones. My grandmother was always a pleasantly plump woman, known for her delicious dinners that packed the house every Sunday and holiday, so to watch her unable to even process how to hold a fork at the end was devastating. She might not have even weighed 100 pounds when she passed. Clinton did such a wonderful job with presenting her like the queen she had always been, such a good job with restoring her beauty and resplendence to her former healthy self that she looked like she was just resting elegantly, perhaps having an itis-induced slumber that her meals were known to induce. LOL What suprised me even more was the fact that he sang as well! When I saw his name on the program, I thought he was going to play something but he got up there and BEAUTIFULLY sang the perfect song to really illustrate my grandmother's unchanging love and kindness despite her journey with that awful disease: "My Soul Has Been Anchored". From start to finish, from plan to execution, from picking us up at the house to dropping us back off at the church after the interment for the repast, everything was seamless and amazingly done - a true balm after enduring the trauma of both the illness and final days before her passing. I cannot recommend Clinton and his services more highly enough. Thank you so much for taking care of my family and grandmother as we honored her transition to her heavenly reward.

The special touches they provided made the service memorable and meaningful. We kept receiving calls days later on how beautiful the service was. We visited other funeral homes however, they did not provide the same type of service as Houck and Gofus. We were told on several of our requests that the family would have to provide. For example, military honors. We were told we would have to arrange. Tyler and Kelsey made all of the arrangements, we did not have to make one phone call. We even stopped by in the evening without an appointment. Tyler, without hesitation, stopped what he was doing and invited us in and reviewed the information and answered all of our questions. This was great customer service at its best! The very next morning we met with Kelsey and the arrangements were made. Living in Phila, this was extremely helpful. We did not have to go back and forth, Tyler and Kelsey arranged everything for us from the flowers, military honors, death certificates, a pastor and pictures for both the obituary and slide show. We did not have a repass, Kelsey provided a local caterer who provided the delicious box lunches. Grumpy's was able to cater the event, the ordering was done over one phone call; it was all very hassle free. I cannot stress that enough! I would definitely recommend Houck and Gofus. They are extremely professional and extremely proficient. Did I mention they are really genuine nice people. They get back to you right away and they never made us feel like we were bothering them with our questions. Please do not go to anyone else, make Houck and Gofus your choice for your loved ones. You will be glad you did!

When I went to visit…read moremy father's grave, I noticed the sidewalk was a little slippery and when I spoke with the guys about it the next day the sidewalk was cleaned up! Blane and Tommy always spend time with my mom when she is there, and I know my mom is safe when they are there. They have been amazing since day one while we are grieving our loss of our father/husband. I went to visit his grave and noticed that it was unmarked, and apparently had been for the past 12 years. Brent Peeples and the team at Riverside were great. They helped me confirm the burial location and helped me obtain a military headstone for my grandfather who served as a Corporal in the Marines in Korea. I find peace in knowing that there is now a physical marker in honor of my grandfather, and I enjoy swinging by to visit his marker and remember him.

Our young son passed away and then just one month later my father-in-law passed. Jonathan and his staff provided a beautiful funeral service for my father-in-law and took care of so many little details that we did not even think of. For example, after the services were over, we received the keepsake that contained the guest book and also every card that came with each set of flowers that were sent along with a photo of each arrangement so we could always remember how beautiful everything was. We decided to bury our boy and Pop together in one ceremony. Jonathan took care of everything for us, including communicating with the cemetery and the sending us drafts of how the stone would look. Because of COVID-19, the burial service was limited but Ludwick arranged for livestream and permanent link. The livestream began with a beautiful video montage of photos of our son and Pop with all of us. It played to our son's favorite Beatles songs. It was so very moving. Along with that link is options to purchase a keepsake book, flash drive of the entire video and much more. During such a tragic time, Jonathan and his staff have such compassion. They understand the importance of details that the bereaved family couldn't possibly know to ask for and they are so professional that even in the midst of COVID they were able to keep everything running so smoothly that we did not feel any stress about the day.

Her pastor knew she was being abused & they were trying to claim her house to make it a church ministry house. My mother's body was placed there by the pastor despite this being a private family matter Harris has involved the same pastor who failed my mother in the decision making and will. Not release my mother after I have been here. 6 days trying to pay him 400 to cremate her elsewhere. He has failed to return my calls or fwd me and invoice . I found out she died on face book for two weeks nobody has been here to even see her . He claimed the coronor was holding him up and the cornor said that information is not accurate. If you are trying to take care of your loved ones be prepared to be spun in circles by these people . Do not come here they will waste your time. They will be unprofessional and will involve strangers in your personal matters .
