This has now moved to the new building known as Gallery Oldham, about 100 yards away. This building still has heritage though, and was a fantastically appointed library, with plenty of area for studying and quietly reading. They also occasionally hosted training courses for the elderly on introductions to IT and computer which I know a few people benefited from.
I often used to rent slots of internet time before having a personal internet connection myself, it was an invaluable resource that helped us immensely, both educationally and for entertainment.
It is a very nice building with striking classical architecture and parking nearby. read more
