Friendly neighborhood barber. Reasonably priced. She gives a top notch haircut every time.

Totally unprofessional...You've heard of "walk-ins"? Well, this place is a "walk-out" - which is…read morewhat I should have done. Where do I begin? Upon entering, no one is visible - but a voice from behind says "Be right with you"... OK... Looking around, you'll find a menagerie of mounted deer heads, an old cast iron stove, an aquarium, and clutter all over the place. The 'workstations' are filthy and decrepit. Finally, after 3 minutes, a woman appears from the rear room - and I take a seat. The haircut begins. 2 other customers come in - then, another woman appears from the rear - with hair wet and dressed in sloppy sweats (like she just came out of the shower - which she probably did) and services the other customer - both friendly ladies - but sloppy. Back to my cut - my 'cutter' gets interrupted midway with a phone call. Her associate also stops her cutting the other customer - so they both can focus on the phone call - obviously a family member with an addiction problem. They unabashedly yell at the person on the other end, and converse with her "Where are you?", etc. etc, and mention how the Butler Police should come to the shop and 'take her in'...blah blah blah.. Not the type of drama I wanted to experience as a customer. Of course, my cutter does a half-ass job to try and get me out as her attention is elsewhere. Folks, if you want to run a business, here are some simple tips: CLEAN the place. REPLACE the blue sterilization liquid regularly. WIPE the workstations CLEAN. WEAR a barber coat... BE PROFESSIONAL. This place should be called "Michael's Flophouse Barber Shop". I'm sorry for your personal problems, but they should never be exposed to the customers. And "Michael" was nowhere to be seen, if there even is a Michael....AVOID THIS PLACE UNTIL THEY CLEAN UP THEIR ACT - both PHYSICALLY AND PERSONALLY !!!!!! I had to go elsewhere to get my chop job fixed properly.

I just had the most unprofessional experience there. My son unbeknownst to be decided to go for a…read moreshave a few hrs before a prom. He came home so upset and with 40+ bleeding red spots on his face. I am a hairdresser myself and could not believe they let him walk out like that! He was freaking. So I called the shop to complain and got the owner on the phone and told her how upset we were with the job they did. She immediately got rude and nasty that he had some pimples which caused the problem. I told her I was also a professional and we would never have let a client walk out of there like that. She went on to very freshly ask me how long I have been in the business and to tell me she has been in longer. I say too long! She then puts the shaver on the phone with me and she gets defensive and nasty and goes as far as to call me an idiot! I have never encountered such rude and unprofessional people in my life. At this point she says to send my son down for a refund. No way! I went. I was so angry at the service and treatment i had just been a part of . I walk in and the shaver is there and she apologized for calling me an idiot I told her again how unprofessional the whole experience has been. She went on to tell me that she has been doing this for yrs. I told her she should have told him this would happen before she shaved him in consult and when she saw what she was doing to his face she should have stopped immediately! At this point the owner came out while i was talking to the other lady and said put witchhazel on it. I told her we put alcohol and peroxide. She gets loud again and says alcohol will make it worse. I was in conversation with the shaver and she starts saying listen to me. Your not listening to me. Almost yelling. I lost it I told her I had enough of her fresh and unprofessional mouth and she had better back off. The shaver ran in the back to look for witch hazel to which they did not have and called the owner back. I got his money back and walked out. Stay clear of this place!!!
