So I have to knock off one star for that. The other star that I want to give was for the food, it was great, in a manner. This place touts itself as Tex-Mex, when it really shouldn't. Had they called it Tex-Mex inspired cuisine, this place would be 4 stars. Had the margarita not tasted like everclear, tequila, and 2 drops of lemon juice this place would get 4 stars. Had the chips and salsa ever showed up, the salsa had any flavor besides garlic, had the tacos I ordered not been a burrito, hell, had someone in the place spoken Spanish I'd give it 4 stars. Sadly, I have to cut out the second star. All this being said, I really want to go back and try the burgers. They looked and smelled delicious. The tequila selection was one of the better ones I've seen in Italy. The atmosphere was nice, the people were friendly when they talked to us. But it wasn't a Tex-Mex restaurant. I am aware this place is located in Italy, I'm aware that is nowhere near Mexico or even the great state of Texas. But if you call it Tex-Mex MAKE TEX-MEX. Again if your looking for a burger with a semi Mexican flair in Milan this seemed like the place, sadly none in my group tried one. Maybe next time.

Went here for a dinner after looking for a non-Italian cuisine place around Fondazione Prada. The…read moreplace was very quiet, with all of Milan sleeping off after the winter holidays. There were just 2-3 other tables occupied apart from us. There is a table aside with complimentary chips and a few different salsas for the time waiting for orders. Waiting was not too long, though. Fast came a finely-pureed guacamole. Followed by beef fajitas with a range of 5-6 toppings and quesadillas (mysteriously labeled in the menu as Burrito Santa Fe). Baseline meat and produce quality is very good and it reflects in the final dish. The specifics of flavors are a bit off from TexMex cuisine in the USA or Mexican cuisine in Mexico proper, but this is one of the better Mexican places I encountered in Europe so far. The most important aspect of the place, though, the one bringing up the stars, is the cocktail menu taking several pages. The place used to be previously a cocktail-only bar before adding a full kitchen. A range of cocktails use house-infused vodkas and syrups line up in labeled colorful bottles along the bar, think the flavors of oregano or black tea or Sichuan pepper. After talking to the bartender-owner about them for a bit, we got even a few complementary shots of the latter infused vodka. The infusions, mixed up with more classic alcohols, make for a complex multi-layered flavors, with distinguishable first and second and third waves. For a special cocktail serving experience, ask for a Porno Tommy.

Tex-mex in Milano?…read more I came for business lunch one day while in town. I suppose they picked this restaurant because I missed American food??? Yes, they serve some Tex-Mex food here and I don't have any comments on them as I only ate what considered traditional Milano food. We were a group of 12 people and when we arrived, they had a table ready for us. Considering it was a lunch time, service was prompt and food came fairly quick. Since i didn't have any more meetings that day, per their recommendation, I tried Aperitivi. Their drink was made with Prosecco, it was a tad sweet for my liking but it was refreshing nonetheless. We shared some meat plates and can't go wrong with Italian ham. I tried some sort of meat with mayonnaise on top. I was told it was a traditional food there. It tasted like tuna mayonnaise.... it was good but since the portion size was big, I eventually got tired of eating. I suppose it was Texas size?!?! This place was packed at a peak lunch hour and I recommend making a reservation if you want to be seated right away.

My first impression of Columbus was that they were a disco as a steady stream of 20-something young women we entering shortly after they opened at 7 dressed in all manner of finery being admitted by an ear-phone connected bouncer at the front door. Throbbing music hits you in the face after you enter. Apparently this place is some sort of aperitivo (like happy hour but full priced drinks with free appetizers) hot spot that has hit a chord with budget-minded young folks. The food station had over a dozen munchies from fried potatoes and corn tortillas to cheese and meats. We however were looking for dinner and were escorted out to a quieter open air patio where numerous fans were keeping things comfortable. After 11 days in Italy we were looking for a change of pace so as a starter ordered nachos (described as corn triangles with cheese and jalapeño on the menu). I ordered fried sticker strips and chips whither we more like Burger kings chicken fries, or long thin chicken McNuggets with thick cut French fries. They even had packets of catsup on the table! My wife got shrimp tempura -5 jumbo string in a very light batter that she enjoyed. Dessert was the 3-chocolate mouse that was also pretty good. When we left, the place was packed, mostly with young people enjoying the free chow and drinking spritzers, daiquiris, and other cocktails. An interest and happening spot to be sure.

TOURISTS BEWARE! This review is strictly about the service…read more We did not get a chance to try their food. We arrived at around 7:40PM on a Tuesday. Before we were seated the hostess had a 5 minute conversation with the waitstaff as we stood around awkwardly waiting to be seated. For the record we don't speak Italian. There was not a SOUL inside the restaurant. Not a single table was occupied. There were 4-5 wait staff present. They sat us in a tiny corner next to the glass door entrance. The waitstaff was milling around as we looked at the menus. 15 minutes later (not exaggerating) no one came to take our order, offer water or even say hello. They looked annoyed that we were there. I motioned to a waiter and pointed to the menu. He looked mad that we interrupted whatever he was doing. We got up and left! I don't know if they don't like tourists, or the fact that we don't speak Italian. We never got an explanation nor do we care to find out. Take this for what it's worth. This restaurant is it in the main touristy area. Perhaps they don't want to be bother with foreigners. Do Not Go!
