    Old Town Spring, Texas

A delightful old-fashioned down town. A great place to shop or dine or just hang out. It is a real throw back to a time before cell phones, and electric cars. I had my chakra checked, bought some toys for the grand kids, and had a snack. This is just a nice place to spend time with friends or family. It takes you back.

New restaurant that opened up in OTS! Pretty good in my book with an amazing patio

A bit of nostalgia, a little bit of old world charm, and some exploration all encompass the antique, small mom and pop shops and unique finds on the streets that make Old Town Spring. This neighborhood town is nestled in Spring, TX just minutes away from the Woodlands, TX and nearby Conroe. The town definitely compliments the fall and winter weather in Houston. It provides the perfect platform to get decked out for the holidays with Christmas decorations and lights, fun displays, and can't miss the candy stores, toy store, and Christmas themed shops! While some days are busier than others, most shops required masks to enter, but not all of them enforced social distancing. Heed with caution, but it's perfect if you have any out of town guests or just want to take the family and kiddos out to get some fresh air. Great thing is, you can do as little or as much as you want to. Parking: there's several areas that offer parking. Some you pay (small fee), some are free, and some accept donations believe it or not. We alway park at the gravel parking lot that tucked away behind some shops, but it also happens to be where the entrance to the OTS begins. TBH, there's so much jam packed into two streets, I can't begin to try and fit all the excitement onto a one page review. We got lucky with the weather the day we went, and we sat outside at Elms Magnolia restaurant, and by the end of the day, we had shopping bags in tow, and made one last pit stop to POPPS - Purveyor of Perfect Popcorns on our way out! Hope my photos take you on a virtual photo tour of OTS!

It's decent for shopping but what I really love are the colorful structures and quiet atmosphere. I also enjoyed our stroll downtown and admiring the beautiful old American Architecture (1940-1950`s is my guess.) Great place for walking and family photos. It seems everything is closed on Mondays though as we were hoping to have lunch here. A tamale place and lil dutch girl was open.

We have went to this every year for 6 years since moving to spring, it's very beautiful I love the performers and I enjoy driving through and seeing Santa's home they left it up longer last year past Christmas and it felt so special. The tree itself is so beautiful and looks different every year. Last year Santa and mrs claus drove through in a convertible it was awesome. Hot chocolate candy canes letters to Santa. Bubbles for the kiddos my daughters enjoy.

I am in shock that this is only 40 mins away from my house, and it is such a charming town. I felt I went on a mini getaway, and not have to drive too far. It really felt as if we were transported back to one of the cute towns in Colorado with all the shops and restaurants. Everyone was so friendly, and genuinely happy to help out. I really enjoyed the international flavor they had as well, shops from Germany, England, Holland, etc...The kids will love it too, they loved walking in the toy shop, it was one of the cutest, and the mystical store. The Mexican candy was a hit too. We can't wait to go back again.

Lovely area to take a leisurely stroll. There are a variety of shops and restaurants. Many of the shops are very unique. The Hat store, for example. We enjoyed our afternoon partaking on some shopping and restaurant hopping (coffee, fudge, funnel cakes...) Will definitely be going back!

Unique Mexican furniture, stone slabs, lighting and decor

Nice area to stroll and shop at. Unique furniture stores, year round Christmas stores, antique shops (not enough in my opinion), boutiques, hand crafted shops, mystic/dungeon & dragons style/witchery type stores (too many as far as I'm concerned) and a few restaurants (too long of a wait when I went). Entire area & stores were very clean. Monthly market was cool.

Okay the the place is kinda hokey, but my kids love it and it makes for a fun afternoon... Luckily I have taste, so I know to avoid the tacky country bumpkin stuff and stick to stores with way better goodies... With that said, if you're not out with your Grandparents or family (lil' ones included) yes maybe Old Town Spring is not for you ... My kiddos and I definitely have our favorite spots down there. Here is our kid friendly list of spots to hit while shopping in Old Town Spring. 1. The Doll Hospital- Has tons of dolls new and old, we bought my youngest daughter one of those dolls that resemble your child at this store years ago. Baby Katherine (as the doll is called) was a great gift! Even as I approach 30 yrs old, I still love old toys, so this place scores high on my list. 2. The Bead Shop- This place had lots of different stones ( like Turquoise) for about $6 that I see being sold here in Houston as necklaces for about $30.. 3. Asian Antiques Stores- This store has cool stuff! It is much like the one in The Heights. Lots of interesting jewelry and beautiful pricey Asian inspired furniture will be found in this spot! 4. The Toy Store- Being a toy lover myself, you know I can't miss this one! This place has lots of educational and unique toys. My kids and I can spend about an hour looking at all the stuff they have to play with! 5. Connie's Bath Shack- This lady sells the best soap I have ever tried hands down!! It is to die for, really!! She also has a large assortment of rubber duckies and bath fizzies! 6. Deep Fried Twinkies Stand- I think this one kinda explains itself. They also serve deep fried Oreos, Snickers bars and funnel cakes. Come on you only live once why not enjoy! ;)

A pleasant day trip cafes , restaurants small shops with art and handcrafted goods. There is plenty of free parking, sand permanent public restrooms. Scattered benches to organize purchase. Small enough to walk .It is clean and merchants welcoming. A nice day trip from Houston or a destination to pick up a few bespoke items for your home.

This week, I…read moresent the following to the store Manager: This week, Mary came to our car in seconds after our arrival. She brought our groceries to our car, greeted us cheerfully, and quickly and carefully loaded our groceries in the trunk. She then said, "Have a good day!" and we were on our way home within 3 minutes. Mary is exceptional, but all of our interactions with your employees on the Click List team are positive, welcoming, well trained, and the best you can ask for. We appreciate other corollaries to the Click List service: 1) We receive points that accumulate from our purchases each month. The points each month are able to reduce the price/gallon at any Kroger store. For us, the reduction is normally $1/gallon. That makes a lot of difference. 2) The "Kroger Pay" feature of the Kroger app allows you to conduct the transaction for paying for Kroger gas without having the pump read your credit card. In the Kroger app's "Kroger Pay" option, enter your credit card info, making it available for all your other gas purchases. The only steps necessary to use the app to buy gas at any Kroger store are: 1) Open the Kroger app and select "Kroger Pay" 2) Select "use at the pump" 3) Identify the pump# that you will dispense the gas from 4) Enter how many points you will use from past orWhy present month's accumulation 5) Begin pumping the gas 6) When you are finished, the app shows you how much you just spent on gas. Why is this important? In many places throughout the country, there are many gas pumps that are altered by thieves every day, attaching a small device at the location on the pump where you insert your credit card. When you enter the card into the slot, that skimmer device also reads the data on your credit card and transmits it back to the thief. Of course, when you see that your credit card is being charged by a thief, you have no choice but to assume that the card is inalterably compromised, and you have to destroy it and request a new card. Any of your monthly bills that are automatically charged on your credit must be redirected to the new card number, Expiration date, etc. Your bills will not get paid until you do this. You have to contact the credit card of the fraud, request that the fraudulent charges be reversed, wait for a week to get your new card, and then communicate with all the businesses that have the old card on file. Big hassle, and sometimes costly.

Pretty good way to enjoy a Saturday afternoon in December. The Woodlands Mall is a large regional mall in The Woodlands, Texas. Not far from Houston, but far enough to be in its own community without venturing into the city center where you can buy a lot of stuff for your everyday needs. With that said, we arrived here around 1pm and found parking almost immediately. We found a good spot and was practically near one of the entrances. We probably spent about an hour here before ended up at the main food court. There was a lot of name brand stores here that I recognize and some regional ones that I do not. I window shopped for the time I spent here and it was nice to be able to just decompress and be on vacation for once. The mall itself was very busy and had a lot of people at any given time. I guess it can be like The Galleria but smaller. Still, it was loaded with a lot of eye candy and plenty of opportunities to spend money. Eventually, I ended up at the food court since I was starving and did not have a proper breakfast. Ended up getting some Popeyes. The overall experience here at The Woodlands Mall was quite nice. Spent the afternoon with my friend and her husband for 1/2 hour before splitting up. They wanted Jamba Juice where I wanted a Popeyes. So, I got my Popeyes and they returned with their Jamba creations within 20 minutes. I enjoyed the food court seating area, which was crowded, but at the time of the day I was, there was enough open spots for me to sit and eat a bit. The Woodlands Mall is very clean and it was a pleasure to be there. Not sure if they had public wifi or not, I didn't use it during my time here in the mall. However, there was public restroom facilities here for anyone and everyone who shop here. And with that said, I felt like the mall is as cozy as it can be. With it being the shopping destination that it is without heading into Houston proper, you can bet that it's as good as a shopping destination mecca it can. The dining and shopping is good, complete with your favorites. There is upscale dinning options inside the mall to your fast food favorites at the 2nd level food court and elsewhere on the 1st level of the mall. The Woodlands Mall is located in The Woodlands, Texas. It's about 30 miles away from downtown Houston. It's located at 1201 Woodlands Drive. It's right of I-45 and with its dedicated off ramp to get into the mall and the surrounding areas. Most, if not all merchants, in the mall accept major credit cards, as well as cash. As far as parking goes, there's plenty of parking here for anyone and everyone who drives. I'm not sure about whether or not there is regional public transportation in The Woodlands, but best bet would be to have a car or rent one for peace and security. There's always Uber or Lyft at your disposal, but the cheapest way would be to have your own car. And so, if you love to people watch, walking the malls, even just window shop, or go to town in the food court, consider coming to The Woodlands Mall and enjoy the ambiance and shop to you drop! My time was brief but definitely nice and happy. Consider your next stay here in the Mall and in The Woodlands, Texas. Definitely a nice stop to hang out in. It does get noisy, so you may want to seek out a quieter spot inside the mall for some quiet time. 4.0 stars for the overall experience. Support local! B
