This is a funny part of town. It's like a block of tourist shops, some restaurants, and a small theme park. It felt a bit kitschy and I would not go out of my way to visit this place. But it's ok if you are nearby and need some time to pass. They have one Disney themed gift shop. They also have a As Seen on TV shop. And weirdly an anime store although a lot of the stuff is of questionable origin if I do say so myself. There's more if you look at the directory! They do host car shows here every week! The last couple of visits to Orlando, we tried to come to Old Town to check it out. My fiance is a big car guy and he used to come to their car shows all the time. The weekends get very very busy and after about 30-45 min of just circling the parking lots for parking, we usually give up. During a more recent trip, we went on a Thursday. It was still surprisingly very busy but we eventually were able to find a parking spot. The stores are cute, if not a bit gimmicky. Most of the staff in the stores aren't super friendly, probably because they deal with tourists all day. But it was still fun to walk around, look at all the things and just hang out. For over 10 years my dad and his friends have been a part of the Friday night car cruise . It's such a fun time and you see cars from the 40's all the way to current models that are a sight to see! Cruise starts at 8:30 every Friday and they have the classic only car show on Saturday mornings. Old town is cool for all ages as there is something to see, places to eat and shops to buy super cool and unique souvenirs. Fun spot is literally in the same parking area so the kids love to go hang out and ride the fun roller coasters and go karts ( admission starts around $40 for tickets ) but old town is free to walk around . Brought the kids here for Halloween so they can trick or treat not far from where we were staying. It's a cute little tourist spot that offers a street filled with shops. Some restaurants and rides for kids. Not sure if rides are there permanently but Ferris wheel is. It's nice that the stores all have their Halloween stash ready for the kids which was a big hit. Every store greeted the kids with treats. It did get pretty busy which I'm sure happens every year. We came a little early which was great as parking was easy. Cute little spot to take a stroll. Come after the suns down otherwise you're going to fry! Has little shopping areas, but nothing to exciting, a lot of the tshirts looked bootlegged. Many smoke shops if you're into that and Also a moonshine spot. Beers are priced differently so look around, everyone claims to have the cheapest. But we were having fun, nice crowd and then 10pm and ghost town. Paid parking has vultures circling to tow your cars. Another dummy practice to keep customer. I haven't been out here in years! It seemed bigger with more shops when I was a kid. Is it just me, or did it shrink? The shops are pretty gimmicky and are just meant to bring in the tourist dollar. The staff in almost all shops we went in seemed unenthusiastic and unhappy to take care of anyone. There are a decent selection of shops and food options here, but none were really good. Old Town has not changed much in the 20+ years we have lived here. It's an old Florida tourist spot that was fun to visit during the day with our adult son and his wife to reminisce about his childhood. Parking can be a bit challenging and I would suggest eating elsewhere as the food options did not seem good. Dorky Fools, not Quirky Cool. The ads made it look like a festive place. But bathrooms are broken. We even gave this place a few tries. Since we were in town for a few weeks. One music group just sang the same songs after each break. Then one band had so little respect for this place. That they didn't even show up. According to the locals. STAY AWAY.. Terrible Family Experience. Warning, some parking lots are free. Some are not and signage is terrible. Old Town prays on tourists not knowing one lot is paid parking and the other is not with small indescrimate signs. They have undercover staff watching for unknowing tourists to park in a paid space. After you park, they then immediately go to tow your vehicle. This happened to my family of four with 2 kids. (10 and 11) Leaving us clueless as to where our car was at 11:45pm at night in an in familiar place. Only to be told by Fun Spot Employees " Oh, yeah did you park in that lot? "Yes we did." Well they probably towed your car. It happens every night. You have to goto security and find out where they took your car." Security, again different company from Old Town. Said, yeah, they tow numerous cars nightly. We will help find which tow company took it. Security was able to find the tow company and impound lot. Which was 15 minutes away. We had to uber there. Then Pay 230.00 to get he car out of impound lot. IN which the tow driver showed us a line of about 8 cars in the lot that were in the same situation as we were. Also explained to us they requested Old Town provide better signage about the parking having to be paid.. However Old Town feels that current signage is adequate. ( Because they get $$ from the tows) If they want tourists money, this is NOT the way to do it. They left a family of four, stranded in an unfamiliar place at midnight with children. No information. Just towed the car and cost over 230.00 dollars and did not get back to the hotel until 1:30am. WE will NEVER retuen to Old Town. We sont care how cool the car show night is. STAY FAR AWAY. Plus goine are the deals as well. Everything is so damn expensive there now. Towing the car of a family on vacation because your signage is crap, was icing on the cake. read more

But the workers at the store say the owner Jason prefers to bring bands no one really wants. That they are paying an entertainment and not really getting their money's worth. This place has really changed, I remember staying at nearby hotels and watching the sling shot but never bothered to visit old town. So a few weeks ago I did and there's so much to do. Today sucked. I brought 479 bags of candy to give out. Drove around for 1 hour and a half looking for parking with no luck. People parking in disabled parking when they don't have the disabled tag. Tonight we enjoyed so many things old town had to offer. I went to black minerals market for some Selenite blocks and a new headband. We walked to the other end and shopped a bit. Ate dinner at Nathan's and Zach had the cheese fries and chicken tenders- which he loved. We finished off the evening with ice cream at the ice cream shop in Old Town called- Sweet Dreams Cafe. We have been coming to Old Town for years, it's a great spot to shop, dine and enjoy Fun Spot, which has great carnival like rides. My kids love coming here ...... so much for them to do and is reasonably priced. Yes, Disney Springs and City Walk are both way more "glamorous" but the crowds and pricing can be overwhelming, whereas Old Town is more relax and affordable. You can spend an entire day here just shopping, drinking and enjoying life. As always, we will return on our next trip to Orlando. read more

Old Town... It's a nice spot to walk, grab a bite, drink and listen to which ever event is going on. There are spots to hangout and shop. It's made for all ages! Solo, Couple, Groups and family. Fun Spot: It has a couple of rides but the truth of the matter is... $65.00 (rounding it off with out tax) is not worth a wrist band for kids/teens. There are barely enough rides worth for that price! To top it off the "kids section" you have to wait till employees close one ride to run to the other in order to operate it. Basically they are understaffed. Bathrooms, are horrible! Security, I only saw one sheriff. It use to be worth it before but I feel it's declining. It needs a major upgrade! I recently visited Old Town to take in a car show. They have been open since 1986 and through the years have maintained a solid reputation for having a steady flow of car show events. Each month there is an opportunity for almost every type of car enthusiast to come out and enjoy an event. They have muscle and cruise car shows, exotic car shows, themed car shows, classic cars, import cars...and the list goes on. It is also an entertainment complex with stores, attractions and dining opportunities. The go cart racing is a family favorite but it's not uncommon to wait over an hour to ride after purchasing tickets. The complex is super busy over the weekend making parking a nightmare. Although they do have cheap $10 and $8 lots a little further down the main area that you can usually squeeze into. read more

Reluctantly came here with family. At noon on a Wednesday, there were only a handful of people there. There were more people than open stores/restaurants, however. None of the rides or food stands were open. The stores were about 70% open. A bunch of chain stores that people could easily go to elsewhere is kind of a disappointment for a place reporting to be nostalgic. The popcorn store told us the flavor we wanted had been popped 11 days prior and didn't recommend purchasing it. We appreciated that but seriously, that is ridiculous. The historic photo place is so not something I would normally do. Being forced to take photos with family, the girls in the store were absolutely fantastic. They were extremely friendly, professional, and made the tragic experience tolerable. The sushi place at the end of the strip mall was actually really good and prices were very reasonable. I don't know why anybody would go here, but those are a couple of places that were tolerable. read more
