There is another good thing, many items you can purchase that are loose and not in blister packs of 'less or more' of what is actually needed. On the other side, pet food, seeds and such stuff can be purchased at the amount you want, same with wire and fencing materials. I doubt you will find better, especially prices. It is a definite 5 star rating in my view and it is hoped the store will stay trading, unlike the many that have disappeared and replaced with upmarket equivalents where prices are more expensive. It's well worth a good mooch about . I sooner go there than the local one to me as the service and helpfulness of the staff , combined with the items they sell, in my humble opinion, Great!

Rons Stores is an old fashioned hardware shop. I bought a new rabbit run in there for our pet rabbit. I think that it had been made locally. It was different from the usual ones that you see in most shops. The staff there helped me to carry it to the car. So top marks to them for being helpful. They are also knowledgeable about the stuff that they sell, so if you have a DIY project in mind and you aren't quite sure about what you need, they will offer advice.

This B&Q store is massive. It is brilliant for getting all your DIY stuff. There are plenty of…read morestaff to help you and they stand out in their orange tops! They have stations to help you with the different areas of your house (kitchen, bathroom, painting etc) so if you need help you know where to go. Staff seem friendly and they are happy to cut wood etc down so it fits in your car. The outside area has all your garden needs, decking, plants, lawn mowers. the list could go on. There is an on-site cafe which serves cakes, drinks, sandwiches etc. Its is not very big but I have never had any trouble getting a seat. Massive car park outside, which I can never imagine being full up. Be prepared to be in here a long time, especially if you are going along with a man!!

It is however in Regent Street, which is a pedestrianised area, so if you bought something big, you would have to lug it back to your car, as you can't simply put it in your trolley and wheel it to your car like you can at places like B & Q. It is clean and tidy and the staff are helpful.
