Where do I start...My child started TLE river vale in September 2023. After rave reviews from…read morefriends whose children attend at other locations, we hoped to have the same experience. Upon our tour we were sold on nutritious meals, small intimate classrooms, clean environment, and caring staff. We were extremely misled by TLE. The first few months put our minds at ease with the access of the TLE app. This told a story of our child thriving, eating every meal and participating in activities. We came to find out the app was extremely inaccurate. Upon speaking with the teachers we were told our child wasn't eating at all after we've been lied to for months about our child's eating via the app. Not only was this extremely irresponsible of TLE but this was also neglectful to not tell us that he was going days without eating and posting photos "to show face". My child started with 12 children in the class in September. Currently the class has 16-18 children which is extremely unsafe! It is impossible for a class that size to be properly cared for with the number of teachers provided. When it comes to a clean environment TLE is NOT the place. There have been multiple instances at pick up where these is a mess of food left on the tables from earlier lunch. While I know kids are messy, my child would come back from school filthy which I'm sure contributed to the amount of urgent care and sick visits monthly. The teachers were very nice I felt bad they were dealing with limited resources and staff. Which makes the teacher turnaround at this center believable. Overall There were many occasions where my child was dropped off later in the day and I've seen teachers sitting at the children's table while the kids played on the other side of the room. I am extremely disappointed in this center and how they've handled situations with our family. The lack of receptiveness to our feedback in the past shows the lack of care for anything other than making money off packing these classrooms with kids. Do your research on these chain daycares before enrolling. I certainly will moving forward.

Our family recently went through an unexpected TERMINATION at iPlusOneAcademy with only THREE days'…read morenotice. We are heartbroken and feel deeply sorry for what our child, and the other children who were also impacted, have had to go through. The 2025 school calendar did not include a February winter break. A winter break was newly introduced in 2026, and the winter camp program was added shortly before the break, during a week that was originally scheduled to be closed according to the academy's school year calendar. More than ten parents collectively raised concerns and requested clarification from the academy regarding the basis for this decision. Subsequent to the meeting between the parents and the director, the academy implemented a new policy addendum mandating parental signatures as a prerequisite for continued enrollment. The original agreement signed in the beginning of the school year did not include any terms addressing the academy's right to amend or modify its policies. The new policy addendum imposed limitations on parents' ability to collectively voice concerns about school policies and restricted their freedom to share honest reviews online. We did not consent to the policy and did not provide our signatures. The academy issued a termination notice merely 10 days after introducing the new policy. Following receipt of the termination notice, we formally requested an in-person meeting with the director to seek clarification regarding the circumstances and explore the possibility of resolving the matter. However, all of our efforts were declined, and we were notified in writing that communication would be restricted solely to email. The academy provided us with only a 3-day notice of termination, despite its own policy requiring a 30-day notice should a family choose to withdraw voluntarily. Arranging a new childcare on such a short notice caused a significant strain for our family emotionally and physically. Our child did not have any behavioral issues at school, and no payment issues. We strongly believe that when misunderstandings or disagreements arise between parents and a school, open communication and mutual understanding should be prioritized. However, in our experience, was more of a unilateral decision by the academy. Based on our two years of experience at this academy, we believe that the focus was placed primarily on tuition and fees rather than fostering a child-centered environment. We recommend that any family considering enrollment seek feedbacks from current and former families before making a decision. I would like to note that most of the reviews posted here were written as part of a raffle prize participation conducted by iPlusOne Academy.

First and foremost, if you are considering this school for your child, I couldn't recommend this…read moreacademy more. I've even recommended it to my non-Korean friends. Both of my children attend--my eldest has been enrolled since she was one and will be graduating this year, and my younger child has been enjoying the mommy-and-me classes before transitioning to full-time. What we love most is simple but meaningful: our child comes home happy and wants to go to school. That alone speaks volumes. Before enrolling here, we tried a daycare and quickly realized it wasn't the right fit. For that reason, I don't consider iPlus a daycare--it truly goes beyond what other local daycares offer. * Structure & Organization: From the very beginning, there was clear structure. Even before registering, we were given a well-organized, color-coordinated handbook. It may sound small, but as both a parent and a customer, I appreciated it. The program is thoughtful and organized, and it shows daily. * Curriculum & Activities: I'm consistently amazed by how much my children learn--even after just one class for my younger child. The school offers gym time, a safe outdoor playground, sensory activities, and diverse after-school enrichment programs. * Bilingual Environment: The staff speak both English and Korean fluently, which has been incredibly valuable for our family. As a mixed household that doesn't strictly enforce Korean at home, this has helped my child develop strong comprehension. While she may not always speak it confidently, understanding her relatives is incredibly meaningful to us. * Care & Communication: The level of care is exceptional. It's clear the teachers and staff are carefully selected. My children adore their teachers and often talk about them at home. The school is also very communicative--whether it's a minor bump or a health concern, we're always informed promptly. * Cleanliness: This deserves emphasis--the facility is extremely clean. After touring many schools, this stood out immediately, and they continue to maintain that standard. I don't typically leave long reviews, but I do feel compelled to address some of the recent negative feedback I've seen. It's disheartening as both a parent and community member. At the end of the day, this is a business--and there's nothing wrong with that. A school can be both well-run financially and provide excellent care. In my experience, the tuition is very comparable to other schools in the area, and I feel the value matches what we receive. Regarding the recent addendum that was circulated: I understand why it was introduced. I personally experienced situations where group discussions among parents became uncomfortable and, at times, pressured. For instance, in a group setting, announcing "I hope we get kicked out, so I can.." explains the exact virtue this ordeal stands on. While everyone is entitled to their opinions, I believe concerns are best addressed directly and constructively with the school, rather than in a way that creates tension or public backlash. If you're exploring options for your child, I encourage you to look beyond the noise and choose what feels right for your family--whether that's iPlus or elsewhere. Every family has different needs, and that's okay. For us, this school has been a positive, nurturing, and reliable environment for our children. I'm grateful for the experience we've had. I have no affiliation with the school beyond being a parent of attending children, and this review was written voluntarily.

I had heard that this location was small and originally thought that would be a con. But when we visited, we realized we loved the fact that it is small. It feels "homey" in all the good senses of the word -- like our family is taking care of our kids. I was really impressed when we visited again for an event a week after our tour and Ms Kathy remembered which fraternal twin was which, and which one loves when you sing the vowels to her. Even many of our own family members didn't remember which twin was which at that time! Ms Kathy is a great combination of "professional teacher" and "maternal". I felt the kids would learn a lot and be in a caring environment. Each month Ms Ty creates fun artwork with the infants using their handprints and footprints (water based paint), which expands their sense of touch with the paint. I like that they do infant room group projects with jello and a colorful parachute. One of the reasons we decided on preschool instead of a nanny even at such a young age was because we wanted them to be in an environment where they explicitly think about educational play. Every time we pick up our daughters, all of the teachers take the time to give us an update and answer any questions we have on how our daughters are doing. Ms Hina also raises to us that one of our daughters was refusing the bottle when they first started and she had a great suggestion to temporary redirect the breast milk bottles to that one daughter to make sure she gets enough milk. I had thought it was the bottle that she was refusing so hadn't considered that but it turned out it was the formula (vs breastmilk). Their 6:30am to 7:00pm hours are also especially helpful for us since we work in Manhattan. We usually pick up our daughters by 6:30pm but the 30 minutes buffer is nice so we do not to feel stressed out when we encounter traffic on the way home.
