I have been to the city of Natchez several times now and decided to make this one of my stops on my most recent visit. The store is not very handicapped accessible, and I am assuming it was the owner of the store that stayed glued to my side pointing out things, which made it difficult to move around. Lots of reasonably priced items for sale. I picked up a tea towel, a handkerchief and some water. I am not sure if I will make it back or not next time I visit the town. read more

The gentleman inside this bright happy building couldn't decide if he was going to be helpful or obnoxious. He was enthusiastically being both. We had one question and it took him 10 minutes to answer it. The shop itself was suffering an extreme bouquet of potpourri. And when I asked about magnets I was told that if they were a snake they would have bit me. (Never mind that they were all above my eye level) but there certainly was a bunch. Excellent store! I cannot say enough good things about them. They did not give me any hassle for my service dog, the staff was so very nice and friendly. The owner was there and a young girl named Briana And they were both super friendly and accommodating. The store is packed full of so many great things to choose from whether it's T-shirts and hats or sweets like handmade fudge and pralines. There are lots of books there for adults and kids, lots of southern literature, it's one of the best souvenir stores I've ever seen and it's pretty much the only one in Mississippi. You are made to feel right at home, there is no pressure, and the store is just full of that beautiful southern hospitality. I would give them 10 stars if I could. read more

We went on one of our many visits to Natchez. They have a great variety of reasonably priced items, in a very small space. We spent a few minutes in there and were quite put off by the staff literally hovering over us like we were going to steal something. I don't mind being asked if I want help, but they leaned toward invading personal space. As such, we did not purchase anything and have not returned. If you want to get some reasonably priced souvenirs, give them a try. Just be prepared to be followed around the entire store. read more

Such a cute little gift shop!! Everyone was so nice a sweet lady gave praline samples as soon as we walked in , which were divine!! We ended up with 2 bags of them . The gentleman there was very pleasant & helpful, also offered us something to drink he was just super nice ! We'll definitely be back next time we're in Natchez! read more

We checked out this charming little gift shop yesterday. Upon entering we were immediately greeted by a young woman with a sweet southern accent. She was very friendly and helpful. There were a variety of samples available, among them were the Cajun dip and strawberry pepper jelly which were my favorites. We were offered complimentary cappuccinos which were delicious. The store hosts a variety of keepsakes, some of which are hilarious signs and t shirts, handmade soaps, unique seasonings and salsas, lotions, wreaths, etc. Everything is so unique and my family enjoyed this little store the most out of our entire visit to Mississippi. The chocolates/truffles are not very good. I made the mistake of buying ten in a variety of flavors. All of them had a wax-texture and left a similar, bad, taste in your mouth. But the service is excellent and friendly. Lots of neat stuff. I enjoyed the conversation with the owner and the other customers. I would stop in again in the future. Just skip the pretty chocolates. read more

While the owner was super nice and solicitous, I specifically asked about an item that was displayed outside. I asked if he had the same item at the same price in the store. We shopped for other items for souvenirs, even saying we would be back. In the parking lot, my husband questioned why our bill was double what it should have been. The item we purchased had no price tag. The young sales girl gave some mumbo jumbo about the item. The owner held the receipt over the counter with the debit card covering the amount. My husband was a little suspicious but signed anyway. It wasn't worth so much haggling over $20 at the end of a long hot day. But you got us!!! read more

I was very impressed with the Old South Trading Post on a recent visit to Natchez. It was my first time shopping there, and I had a ball. The owner happened to be in the store and was very personable and attentive. The selection of goods was excellent and free samples abound. This shop is full of reasonably priced gifts and souvenirs. Large selection of candies and jelly and jams. I was offered a cup of King Cake Cappuccino Community Coffee which was excellent. read more

Such a variety of stuff...you don't need to go here if you are in a hurry because he has so much to look at it takes time. From goodies to eat to a nice hoodie. Gag gifts and yard stuff. I loved browsing around and finding stuff no one else has. Mr Jonathan is great to talk to also. You really need to try this. read more
