My family knew Freddy Clark and was always impressed with his empathy and kind nature…read more Unfortunately, recently we have had to work with Tina and she was the least empathetic person in her field of work or otherwise that I have ever encountered. For my grandfather's funeral my family gave her original photographs to be used for a slideshow. After the funeral she tried to tell us that we could not have our photographs back until the bill was paid in full. Very recently we came back because my grandmother had prepaid for her services but we decided to go elsewhere for the memorial service. Tina, without any mention of a "sorry for your loss" launched right into the bill adding up each charge we would be required to pay by tallying it up on a scrap piece of paper as she rattled off each service provided. She had zero interest in us after she realized that we would not be paying for a service or viewing. I can understand being in the difficult position of discussing financials during such a sensitive time, but she lacks the sensitivity part of the job and comes across as only looking for ways to rack up the charges. We will be paying nearly $1000 just to hand them an urn so that they can put the ashes in a required urn vault. Our charges were in the thousands. In fact, her final cost came out to be conveniently close to the amount of the insurance policy she asked to see. When I asked her for an itemized bill it was then that she produced a folder of services with checkmarks by all of the items we were being charged for. I could not help but wonder if this was related to her sense of superiority and tendency to look down upon us for not being big spenders or if she is just that unprofessional. I hope she reads this and learns a few things about how she is perceived by others...if she even cares. We won't be returning for any services at Clarks...we shall go elsewhere.

My grandmother had a prearranged funeral contract but when her daughter came to pick up her ashes, Tina presented her with additional charges without the pre purchased urn. She was unhelpful, and does a disservice to the funeral home started by Freddy Clark.
