Whilst I shouldn't, I try to get a taste of everything on the pastries menu and this is helped by the fact that there are a number of items in the 'party' size range! Plenty of healthier options (I said 'healthier' not 'healthy') in the form of veggie rolls, pasties and quiches, all while the traditional kinds are staring you in the face begging for you to break that diet onnnnneeee more time. If you're adventurous, there are some less traditional pies floating around including the broccoli and three cheese pie and the meatball centre with mac and cheese topping pie which was insane. Good coffee and drinks selection, as well as some tasty treats. The service can sometimes leave a lot to the imagination but I guess that's just what happens in a place that's this popular.

It's super clean with plenty of seating both inside and outside. The coffee's not bad either and I really enjoy when you get something a little extra that you're not expecting. In this case they give you a sweet little shortbread cookie with your coffee, no matter what size you order and regardless of whether you're eating in or taking away. Small things like that can keep patrons coming back (I'll be back for that meatball filling, though).

Stopped at the bakery in Stratford yesterday. They open about 3 - 4am and close at 6 pm…read more Staff is friendly and were very busy when I went in there at 1 o'clock. I got a plain pie was beautiful the pie was full and unlike many other pies the bottom didnt split open. My parents had sausage rolls plain and cheese and bacon and they both loved them, didnt leave that fatty residue on the top of the mouth and dad loved the coffee. All the cakes in the shop were big and looked great will be trying one next time I go over. So if your heading on the high and going through Stratford stop and grab a bit I doubt you will be disappointed

3 days in the Yarra Valley and this trip I must say I struggled to find a good soy latte but…read moreHabituel hit the right spot.  Most impressed also with the baked goods on offer for breakfast.  We selected a delicious choc & raspberry muffin & sour dough toast with vegemite.  I liked that the toast came with the butter & vegemite on the side which is how we do it at home but isnt always the case in Aussie cafes.  Service was excellent & friendly.  Our only wish was that we had found this on our first and not last day so that we could have tried a few of the other great looking baked goods on offer (and had one of their excellent coffees every morning!)
