My mom loved…read moreantiques and she needed to use the bathroom....we stopped in and while she was inside I decided to walking around and stumbled across these Statue of what is depicted as 'Black Sambo' and it's literally put me into a place of complete shock and disappointment....I've seen pictures of things like this...I've read stories about these types of statues and how black people were viewed but never in my life would I have thought I would ever see anything like this is 2018 live and in living color. My children were literally scared to look at them and It was sad that I had to explain to them at such an early age about what the poor mindset of people in America had and maybe even still have towards how other cultures are viewed.

The store stocked quite a huge collection of antique clocks which were pretty fascinating! The prices ranged from $1 to several hundred depending on your pocketbook! It's refreshing to walk into a vintage store and be able to spend just a few dollars! They are not taking advantage of their customers here! The owner, Jerry, welcomed us with a bellowing greeting!
