Hartwells Christian Mortuary and Funeral home took care of the service for our baby brother. They…read morewere very professional, caring and gave him an absolutely beautiful home going ceremony. Everything that my family wanted was detailed and executed to perfection. Last minute we asked that pictures were not taken and a person from the mortuary team stood by to ensure that this did not happen. We placed special items with our brother and through shakey hands and blurred vision the team helped me and did not put up any resistance. They ensured that his clothing was perfect, they helped me place his glasses on him and stood by without complaint as I checked and double checked that everything was how my family expected it to be. They patiently helped us every step of the way. This is a hard review to write, an unexpected and painful review to write but also necessary. I am hopeful that you will not need their services, but in the event that you do, expect perfection. The pastor gave a beautiful eulogy, the service was heartbreakingly amazing and beautiful. I watched from the time our brother was pushed past me in the sanctuary before grieving family and friends arrived to the moments that he was laid to his final resting place, and he was handled with care. We were not rushed to grieve and not a second felt hurried. In such a heavy time of distress and sorrow, they came through for my family and we will forever be grateful to them. We thank Pastor Hartwell and his team and we highly recommend them, as my sister stated... Our brother was put away Cadillac style. A million thank yous for lifting some of the stress from our family in a time of need.

Josh, is amazing and helped me in a very stressful situation, he is the director I believe, and was accessible and returned my call immediately. Mia, is the one I have been in touch with the most. I couldn't ask for anything more from her, every time I have called there she has been so sweet, supportive, and allowed me to cry to her and be very personal with her. I just felt her compassion for my situation and she put my heart at ease...this is all over the phone. When my son and I met her in person on his first day, she was everything I felt before but even more!!! She is a very special lady and I have no doubt God placed her right where she is supposed to be answering the calls that come in and peoples first connection to the Home of Grace. Ross, was very helpful to me in another tough situation when I took my son to the airport and he didn't show up like expected he was in constant communication, even after hours, and again he put my mind at ease as much as possible and shared personal information about himself to help me with my struggles. Austin, I barely met for 15 minutes but just like the others I felt his compassion and support immediately and was very comforting to me and my son at his admission. My son has since shared with me how supportive he has been to him while there at the program as well. I am hundreds of miles away in Colorado and felt so much relief when I was going back home. Cornel, is his counselor and has made a huge difference with my sons transformation. I can't wait to meet him in person. He doesn't just teach them about addiction and recovery but so much more, including worldly things and again has been very easy to get in touch with and supportive to me as a parent. My son speaks very highly of him to me when we get to talk weekly. I feel so blessed that I was told about this place from a friend living in Texas who's son also completed the program, she spoke so highly of this place and as a self employed person with not great health insurance I couldn't believe how affordable this place was, which spoke volumes to me that they are there to actually help and not for the money which unfortunately is not often enough the case. I can not give enough praise to this place. It is a true statement when they say "where miracles happen". Not only have they changed my son's life but mine as well. My son had struggled with the hardest drugs for over 11 years. He wrote me a letter on day 10 and told me that the "Home of Grace was amazing and he was right where he needed to be, and thanked me for never giving up on him". As a parent I had dreamed of this day and most definitely an answered prayer. He spent Thanksgiving, Christmas, and his 30th birthday there. He just told me today that "it was his best birthday he had ever had because he had everything he had ever wanted, which was to be happy"! Another thing my son told me was that "God had filled the void he had tried to fill for so long with the drugs". How do you thank the Home of Grace enough for everything they have done for my family? I will be donating to the Home of Grace as much, and as often as I can so they can help as many struggling addicts and families as they can. I also have and will continue to recommend Home of Grace every opportunity I am given. I just want to scream it from the roof tops if you are struggling this is where you need to be!!! I forgot to mention they have multiple phases which are even more affordable. My son will start the next phase in the next couple weeks after graduating the first one and he decided this for himself

Here are the major highlights. We started in the gift shop where you'll purchase your tickets and get a wrist band so you can leave and come back if you like. The gift shop is filled with all sorts of cute albeit expensive marine themed gifts, pens, purses...the usual suspects. From there we made our way to the ray touch pool where you're instructed to wash your hands first then pick a spot around the (backyard sized) pool to touch the sting rays as they swim by. In a different part of the facility there are smaller touch pools with crab, starfish, fish and baby sting rings. This was the first time I've ever done this and although I was a bit trepidatious at first I have to say it was fun! Next we headed to the dolphin and sea lion show. This was by far my favorite part. My kids were standing right next to the deep pool watching the dolphins swim underwater before the show and at one point the one of them (named Nemo I believe) came up and started waving and kissing the glass. Of course my kids were beyond delighted at this. Then Nemo cleverly did a huge flip-resulting in soaked but giggling children. Awesome! The show itself was great. The dolphins are funny and trained well. The sea lion put on a great show too-pretending it was a shark then a dolphin and lastly it's true self. Last but certianly not least we headed to the parakeet post. It's filled with hundreds of colorful parakeets that land on your head and arms and if you get a seed stick they will eat right off of your stick. We spent the most time in here and it was truly delightful. IMMS is a great place to get up close and personal with nature and my entire family highly recommends it!!

Parking is convenient and there is a wide variety of additional services offered (after school programs, date nights, classes, and open gym).
