On April 24th, 2018, my best friend (my Dad) passed away in the middle of the night unexpectedly. He lived with us and when my husband found my dad, we were all in complete shock and suffered such devastation. The local police called Lindquist to come get my Dad and bring him to the funeral home. Around 3:30am, two morticians showed up. One was a lovely woman named Jordawn. She was really kind and understood the shock and confusing emotions we were experiencing. I felt so bad that she was woken up so early in the morning for this, but she reassured us numerous times that death happens when it happens and there's no controlling it, so we had no reason to be feel bad. As she said, it was her job. She continued this kindness a couple of days later when my family and I needed to go identify my Dad and talk about services. They took such good care of him and they let me put my Dad's lambskin on him (he was a Mason), which meant so much to me. Unfortunately, we were referred to another funeral home for financial reasons, but I felt like I could trust Lindquist to take care of my Dad. My mom and I got to spend one final time with my Dad before he was cremated...and now he's home with both of us. As hard as it has been the past 9 months, I really appreciate the kindness and professionalism that Jordawn and the Lindquist Funeral Home showed us during the hardest time of our lives.
