The business had canopies all up and down the Main Street. Each canopy had friendly people handing out candy to the kids and telling the adults about their stores. I always like giving back to my community. This was the eighteenth year of the New Albany Classic and seeing so many families coming together for a good cause was wonderful. There was so much to see from the farm tours I helped assist with to the horse competitions and concerts on stage. Disney's Dove Cameron and Ryan McCarten were there. As well as Rae Lynn and Skylar Stecker. They rocked it yesterday! There were plenty of food trucks there from Schmidt's to Dan's Deli. Plenty of rides for the kids. Face paintings for the children as well. So as you can tell it was very family friendly. I even heard how much the kids loved the farm tour I had given because they got to see the tractors and fruits and vegetables that were being grown such as tomatoes, peppers, okra, cucumbers, berries and sweet potatoes. Some of the tomatoes looked sad and were dying off. In all, if I had children I would definitely bring them to this type of an event. As I said before, it was very family friendly and so many organizations were there to keep the vibe up like the Columbus Blue Jackets, the Crew and Sunny 95.

This is an Ohio History Connection property which has some interesting history. It was part of the…read moreunderground railroad and housed the Hanby Family, one of which who wrote the song "Up on the Housetop." We loved the holiday event with the festive decorations and live music as your tour the house. There were volunteers in each room talking through the history which was really interesting!

There was musical entertainment and people were making use of the paddleboats in Big Walnut Creek. There were lots of herb plants to choose from, and volunteers assisting. The lines to pay weren't terrible, and using little tablets, the cashiers accepted cash and credit. With Local Cantina so conveniently located, we were able to sit on the patio to eat, enjoy the music, and people-watch. It was a nice time without being overcrowded, and I look forward to next year!

This annual costume contest and pet parade is held at Easton Town Center. There were about 150…read moreparticipants including a cat and guinea pig. Surprisingly all the animals got along and people and pets of all ages had a great time. Being an animal lover this event made my whole trip!!

A very nice little holiday festival in Creekside, in the heart of Gahanna. Loads of things for…read morekids: a train, facepainting, ornament making and other crafts, etc. Performances by the Pinnell Dance School dancers, and I think a band earlier. And Santa and the tree lighting, of course. Lots of vendors, and free samples and other handouts like hot chocolate from the realtors sponsoring it. Many photo ops, fake snowballs for the kids, fake snow machine, and much more. Baby K loved it. I had fun. Plenty of food trucks too, and of course the local restaurants. Mill Street was closed so I'm guessing to get into the garage you'd have to come from the north or east. We parked just across the creek in the park south of 62, and had a very short walk. Definitely coming next year.
