Sadly, cannot recommend this bank or branch.
My 94 year old widow neighbor tried to roll over a Certificate of Deposit that she uses to live on the interest.
Jill, from Savings accounts, told her that the CD wasn't due for redemption and she would be penalized $438 for trying to redeem.
My neighbor double checked her physical paper copy and confirmed it was a 12 month CD while Jill would not listen and insisted the computer was "right".
We had to go to the bank, show them the physical copy, it took them 37 minutes to "figure it out", then the excuses began... Part time employee, data entry error, error recording duration and return rate, failed to make record copy, and so on.
This episode does NOT reflect well on this branch, if not bank in general.
Such sloppy, unprofessional record keeping; poor customer service & support, threatening to penalize a customer over their error, causing an elderly woman such distress and loss of sleep, is shameful.
It all could have been avoided had Jill simply listened and worked with her.
I recommend taking your banking and loan needs elsewhere.
And if you are fortunate enough to have worked hard, saved your whole life to be ready in retirement by using Certificates of Deposit, ensure you keep accurate records, insist upon paper not digital records, and watch these folks... read more
