Yup, as we all know now it's about hand sanitizer and who is going to get in the elevator with you. It's a brave new world isn't it? This place checks all the right boxes when you need it. I didn't expect much in Elk City, but wow was I impressed. From the large well-lit parking lot to the firm bed and impeccably clean room. Easy on and off the freeway and several surprisingly good restaurants nearby (I strongly recommend Prairie Fire for a decent steak), and a gas station right across the street , this place has everything you need for a decent break from the road.

We were in town for a couple days for a funeral so I did need additional days but didn't want to book until I knew it would be okay after one night. It's an older hotel but so clean. When I slid into bed I could smell the bleach- I was thrilled to know the bedding was clean with no worries. Everything was super clean including the bathroom and I cannot tell you how sweet the couple running it are. They are just amazing folks who care about your stay and want you to be comfortable- not something you find too often. I'm all about reading reviews so I know how important it is to leave them. Oh- is also like to add that it's very quiet. I've stayed in hotels where people party all night especially on the weekend but it was just silent. Coming to town under such sad circumstances was stressful enough but having a great place to stay made it a lot less stressful.
