I had 3 roofers that I talked to after the Apr 2023 hail storm. One was someone named Steve that…read morehad done a neighbors house, one was a guy named Josh my girlfriend's dad had recommended and one was a guy named Trent my other neighbor recommended. All 3 came and gave me an assessment. Steve sounded like he was willing to take care if me but when he met with the adjustors, didn't help me much. That adjuster basically stated that the hail damage was from previous storms. Josh was too busy and somewhat arrogant. Trent from Great Plains Roofing sent Kyle Burnett who really impressed me by several factors. He blatantly told me that it was now illegal to not pay the deductible and their company was not willing to cover that. In lieu of that he would give a free upgrade to Class 4 shingles etc. Kyle went on the roof and took about 89 pictures and provided them by email along with drone shots and damage locations... very impressive high quality pictures. He spent the time to show me the different colors and types of shingles, drip edges, etc. When the 2nd adjuster came out, Eric (Kyle's Co worker) joined him and helped figure all the damage spots and showed the 10+ hits in the 10x10 square to total the roof. If they were going to go out to bat for me and get the insurance company to pay, I was willing to sign a contract with them (and I am glad I did) Within 2 weeks, I had the materials dropped off and the following day (with a 12 person crew) on a 2300 sq ft home, the entire roof was replaced with the Class 4 shingles. They took care of the eaves, high quality underlayment, drip edges, etc and even installed a solar attic fan. They had a company that they use for guttering so I just paid the amount awarded to me by State Farm + the deductible and they handled it all. They even fixed my chimney stack that was in pretty horrid shape. My next door neighbor got his roof replaced and it took them 4 days to complete and it was smaller than mine. Kyle was always very responsive and always willing to go the extra mile. Very impressed overall and highly recommend.
