The after school program we were previously using decided to no longer offer this service, leaving us rushing around to make other arrangements within a few weeks before school starting. We signed up for The Dojo's after school program and have never regretted the decision. They incorporate a karate class within their program (along with homework and other play time). Its just not karate that he learns. A lot of lessons around self discipline, self control and earning everything that the kids get on day to day. The lessons are very well formed and every kid in the class gets the attention that is needed. There is never a dull moment @Dojo. Every coach has a smile and different techniques to make the class more interesting and motivates every kid to enjoy and learn the techniques. Couple of months later, got my daughter enrolled and she enjoys her time there and very eager to be @Dojo just like her brother. Both my kids love Coach Josh & Coach Jared(Both are Great Motivators). They are just amazing. Always willing to talk to the parents and kids with constant feedback. I highly recommend @Dojo, Sharon Springs. It was actually too small for the about 20 kids that attended. she had the kids all running around chasing each other and hitting each other with objects. The first few minutes of the party, my son was ran over by a larger child and fell down and broke his collarbone. The instructor stated she was making a report about the incident with the managers and owners. We called to leave several messages to the managers and owners and left voicemails. I wanted to feedback that I thought the space was too small and not adequate for the amount of kids invited and allowed. no one from the any of our calls. The birthday party was a horrible experience and I absolutely would not recommend the facility The instructor even asked me and my husband what happened and how my son broke his collarbone. This was very awkward to us, considering that parents do not come inside the room with the instructor, and she obviously knew he fell and got hurt in the room with her.
