Love this group! I adopted my kittens from them. They had all shots and spayed and socialized well.

I am beyond grateful for this team being in existence. I love to swim, but can not find the…read moremotivation to do it on my own. There are people at all different speeds and abilities on this team, so I didn't have to be a former record holder in order to fit in. And just as important, I have made so many friends on the team. We encourage each other to get to the pool when we don't feel like it, and once there continue to push each other to get a good work out in, whatever that looks like for each of us. The best part is there is a lot of laughing and support for each other along the way. I don't want to forget to mention the setting. We swim in an outdoor pool set at 80 degrees, with tall evergreens surrounding us. Depending on the time slot chosen and the season, the sun may be rising or setting, the moon can sitting overhead, or clear blue skies are everywhere you look, or not too infrequently, a quick time out might be taken to look at the rainbow on the horizon. The serenity this opportunity to swim outside with such wonderful people creates balance in my life. I schedule the rest of my life around swimming with my teammates each night. There are three different time slots during which a person can swim and there is even room for more times if the need arises. Come and join the best secret in town if you like to exercise in the water.

I must leave this review because I need to put this information out there. This is a good foodbank…read morethat provides people good groceries once a month, per person/household. However, there are some volunteers whose behavior, while not vile, is questionable enough that I need to share. For whatever reason, the two women who take turns at the front desk have been quite unwelcoming to me. One of them denied me service, because I had come to late in her opinion. I had come 30 minutes before closing time. Surely that's enough time for one more person to receive groceries, but I guess she didn't want to stay there another minute. The entire time I was in line, I could hear this woman talking to the other volunteers about the time, and how it was almost 3PM (closing time). I thought that was very rude of her. I don't appreciate the unwelcoming behavior, especially since I didn't do anything wrong; I had come within operating hours. Now the second woman, always greets people very kindly, and with a smile at that. But whenever it's my turn, her face and voice turn cold. She always asks me to back up and doesn't smile and make small talk like she does with everyone else. I don't expect or demand ANY volunteer or employee of any establishment to "be nice to me", but the fact that it's always me that is singled out is mildly hurtful. I just don't understand why I am treated differently. I have never disrespected any volunteer there or hassled them.

Disappointed that nobody is monitoring drop-off donations. Went to donate many clothing items when…read morethe center opened and was instructed to leave them outside the door, which I did. As I got in my car I saw a woman walk over from her car and just take everything I had dropped off. Nobody stopped her or even spoke to her. It's a shame the brand-new clothes I left didn't go to Seniors in need who rely on the center for assistance, as the blurb on their website suggests. I don't expect I'll be donating here again.

I dragged my friend along and went to try our hand at some bingo. The game options, pricing, and people were great. People playing, and also the hosts were very helpful in answering questions. Once the game started going is when I realized things weren't quite right. I noticed the people that were calling were also playing... and winning! Now I have never ever seen anyone calling and playing at the same bingo session... Big faux pas in the world of bingo as far as I'm concerned. And when I say "winning", I mean that one of these callers won $1600 in one night. If that's not shady I don't know what is! The hosts would also serve certain tables first before others, and seemed to ignore people at times. I would have liked a little more organization and making all pull-tab games available to all people. As much as I love bingo... I will be avoiding this place.
