Excellent renovation to Taft stadium. Current home files for the OKC Energy, USL Pro football team…read more This is great place for family entertainment provided by the only professional football team in OKlahoma City. Currently the works are still in progress and tracks are being installed around the court. This facility will serve not only the energy, but local schools. On game day you can watch the energy beating their opponents and grab a snack plus one of your favorite Anthem beers. Highly recommended!

This review is for OKC Energy games…read more This family friendly venue has been given new life by local ownership. As a young boy my father owned a semi-professional football team that played here (No humble brag here- it was a team that once spray painted their helmets when the other team needed a few of their players to make it an even game. They were lovable and lowly.) And I ran all over this stadium. It seemed like a lost gladiator palace and the bathrooms were not nearly as nice as Rome. Now I take my children to these games and continue to be amazed at all the changes. They have a great family atmosphere. Which is not easy to do given the size of the place and crowds mixed with the healthy beer sales. We loved every minute of the season. The food options were excellent. Multiple trucks were brought in and the concession stand options were above average and priced right. For all those that have suffered through some summer baseball games minor league sports in the hot months can be brutal. But seats on the west side of the stadium are always shaded for games and it was not unusual to see coats in July. The players seem impressed with the field and surroundings and continually remark about the confines. This is high praise form professional athletes who have see the highs and lows of their sports. I can't wait for next season and encourage everyone to make it our for a few games at least.

I love going out to the ballpark to watch an exciting ballgame. It is located right in downtown…read moreOklahoma City. You can find tons of parking downtown. You can come watch the minor league OKC Dodgers at this stadium. There is plenty of space to walk and not get lost in the crowd. There are plenty of concessions and I love that there is a small bar area where you can stand and drink if need be. The place is airy and the restrooms are always clean. The seats are comfortable and offer a place to hold your drink. They offer a lawn area where you can bring a blanket and sit and watch the game. This is the perfect spot for folks with kids. I recently visited the suites during a game and it was an easy find. Staff is on-site to check your ticket and direct you towards your room. The suites were very clean and stocked with food, drinks, and plenty of seating for folks. Most importantly there was air conditioning, tvs, and a perfect view of the ball park down below! This was a great option as it was raining outside we were in our own oasis enjoying ball park food such as mac n cheese, and pulled pork sandwhiches staying nice and dry. The restrooms were cleaned often in the suite area however, that is not the case down below. Come enjoy a game during the summer or visit the park for one of their many events. Either way it's a staple of the OKC.

I've been to about 40 MiLB ballparks across the country from Charlotte to Buffalo and Salt Lake…read more 11 of those have come this season and this by far was the worst experience of all of them. Bought tickets for my mom and I over Mothers Day in a row of 5 people (2nd row, down the 1st base line). Family of 3 next to us and a VERY large guy had the idea that the middle seat was for him. I didn't even try and squeeze into my seat. Went to customer service to try and get moved to comparable seats and was told the LAST 5 rows in that section were readily available. NOT what I paid for, theyre the ones that sold the seat to a guy that should have either bought 2 or been in the handicapped section (he wasnt the only large person in our section and the stadium really does regular sized fans a total disservice by not enforcing a policy of a similar nature. Let the agent know I wasnt gonna move to the back 5 rows and got told I could move back to Row K. Asked to get my ticket reprinted and told they couldn't do that BECAUSE I BOUGHT FROM THE COMETS WEBSITE. WHAT? I'm from the midwest, the game was mostly sold out and they cant exchange tickets because I bought the ticket FROM THEM? Really? I asked where in the row and got told most seats are available. Asked for a supervisor at that point. Just hopeless. Told the supervisor I dont need to randomly pick someone elses seats and have to move AGAIN. Asked if I could move to the other side and got told no I had to stay in my section. I didnt cause the problem but sure Ill get a seat thats less than because I cant even fit into the one I bought. Beyond that NO beer selection which is INSANE being next to Bricktown. Small scoreboard in outfield (likely so Hilton hotels can sell "ballpark view" rooms. Just a brutal experience. Reminded me a lot of my experience at Dodger Stadium itself in 2021. It isnt an organizational thing because the Dodgers High-A ballpark in MI is BEAUTIFUL. I know it's Oklahoma but if you have any other option than this place, take it.

I made it to my first ever College Football Playoff game here at Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial…read moreStadium and it was a terrific experience! This past Friday night - 12/19/25, Norman, Oklahoma was the center of the college football universe as the Sooners hosted Alabama in the #8 vs. #9 game of the playoffs. I found my ticket on SeatGeek for $345 in Section 233, Row 24, Seat 6. This was the last row in the upper deck on the visiting side of the stands. It wasn't too high up (imo). I still had a bird's eye view of the action. I will say...for this impromptu playoff game that gets organized by a committee of football "experts" who's sole responsibility is to select the 12 most deserving football schools into the tournament, I immediately bought my ticket after the schedule was announced. Did I have FOMO anticipating ticket prices could skyrocket higher? YES. But being from Florida, I had to purchase airfare and a rental car ASAP, and it felt reassuring to lock in a ticket as well since there was no turning back, but my point is...prices actually significantly decreased throughout the week and a half leading up to the game. Now 24 hours prior to kickoff, my $345 seat was selling for $190. Oh well stuff like this occasionally happens, but...these college playoff games get scheduled so last minute during the holiday season that it's very possible fans may have alternative family plans, and I'd just suggest future playoff attendees being patient when searching for their tickets. I really liked Gaylord Family Stadium. It opened in 1923 and has a capacity of 80,000. But for a 102 year old stadium, it's in great shape and the energy for this playoff game had a fever pitch. Kickoff was 7pm (central time zone) and they allowed fans inside at 5pm. Outside the stadium, they had a "Party at the Palace" featuring food vendors, tailgates, fans taking photos, music and even four F-35 fighter jets flying over the festivities. ESPN's College Gameday crew had their pregame show live on campus. For parking, there was a garage connected to Gaylord Stadium. Other lots nearby charged $40. I arrived early and parked for free on a side street 1 mile away and walked to the game. I'd also like to point out that the entrance off West Lindsey Street is a worthwhile photo opportunity. This area has statues dedicated to famous Oklahoma coaches like Bob Stoops and Barry Switzer. From the coaches dedications area, if you walk to the righthand side of Gaylord Stadium, you'll find Heisman Row with even more statues of Sooners Heisman Trophy winners like Kyler Murray, Sam Bradford and Baker Mayfield. Viewing these historic shrines had me thinking how rich Oklahoma's football roots are. Another nice picture moment was in front of the end zone located beside the "Party at the Palace". Here they had large SOONERS letters to stand in front of for a fun family photo. My favorite moment of the game was Oklahoma's team introductions. It was a sight to see! They turned out the lights and the deejay pumped up the crowd. Then as Sooners players entered the field, an abundance of fireworks exploded from both end zones and from behind Oklahoma's home stands. It was thrilling. I had goosebumps and couldn't believe the abundance of fireworks like a pinnacle July 4th moment. I'll post a quick video of it along with this review. It was the highlight of my night, lol. The Pride of Oklahoma Band was outstanding as well and put on an entertaining halftime performance. Also during halftime, an exciting drone light show showcased everything associated with Oklahoma football including a Boomer Sooner formation, an OU sign formation and a horse and carriage formation, to name a few. At the end of the 3rd quarter, there was a performance by the rapper, 50 Cent, while more fireworks lit up the night's sky. It was an energetic way to begin the 4th quarter. Not sure if 50 Cent will return in the future, lol, but him showing up was memorable. Overall, the football game was competitive. Oklahoma jumped out to a 17 - 0 lead. Alabama tied it at 17 - 17 by halftime. Unfortunately Alabama pulled away in the 2nd half to win 34 - 24 and fellow fans I sat next to and got to know a little about unfortunately went home unhappy. I felt bad because they were nice people and it was easy to recognize how passionate they were about their Sooners. Still, for just being a neutral fan of college football, I got to live out a dream attending my first ever CFP game, regardless of the outcome. I traveled halfway across the country to experience it all and for that, I am grateful. Thank you for having me Oklahoma, and Boomer Sooner!

We bought two tickets from the Lazy E website for a total of $330 thinking this would give us box seats. WRONG! The site will not let you pick your seats, you just select what price you will pay and it assigns you tickets. The on line seating cart is vague and not useful at all. Turns out we paid that astronomical price for terrible seats - Section Q, Row C, seats 11 and 12. We were packed in like sardines in the bleachers. We were so disappointed. After the opening event, we moved to the other side of the arena to some of the many empty seats with even better views and were a lot more comfortable. We always enjoy the rodeo but, if we go next year, we will pick the lowest possible priced seats for a 10th of the price. What a rip off. The rodeo itself was great as always. We enjoy shopping the vendors stalls there too. Food and drinks are really expensive of course. Walking tacos were 9$ each and well drinks were 9$ each too. It was freezing the night we went but staff in carts drove us to the entrance so we didn't have to walk the whole way. Loooong lines at the concession stands indicate that they need more food booths but there is no room for them. Great rodeo though!
