And lots of great kid costumes. I was looking for a certain king costume, the kind that likes banana peanut butter sandwiches. They had royal kings, medieval kings, king crowns, capes and even king rings. And yes, they had multiple Elvis, the one and only King, jump suits! Good news for me is that they allowed my to try them on before buying. Bad news is that either the sizes run small or I've gone 'fat Elvis' because several were snug like no one needs to see snug. While my favorite jump suit did not fit THIS Elvis, one did fit and I was good to go. It's not cheap. This is not a thrift store. It is however a magical store where dream and fantasy touch the earth, right there on White Bear Avenue.

Oscar and Half Pint are truly amazing as they capture the heart of the young and young at heart. The show, no matter how many times you see, is truly full of laughs, entertainment, and lots of smiles! The have the children engaged and participating in no time as they play back and forth with each other in their comical skit. Than after their show, you must get their amazing balloons and incredible face painting. We have had Touch of Magic now for 3 family large family celebrations (over 150 guests at each event) and they have truly made each time full of unforgettable memories! From exploring the many wonderful options on their website, to working with Lori to find the best option for our event, she made it interesting and easy. The contract was clear and I appreciated a "day of call" just to make sure we had all our questions answered. We had about 30 Cub scouts, aged 6-11 who all learned to twist balloons into animals and other shapes. Lori helped prep the adult helpers and easily managed to help each child just when they needed it. There were some pretty special smiles after learning a new skill. We had a lot of excited scouts and with so many other entertainment options available from A Touch of Magic Entertainment, we look forward to exploring more options for future scout events.

I had the marvelous task last month of finding a special Art & Crafts project to do for a weekend Crafts event in upstate Minnesota. I picked creating a giant sugar skull on thin etched wood using brightly colored felt, acrylic paints and sparkle complete w hand created Mexican flowers. SUCH fun! I found unique mounting foundations to hot glue my piece on -- tin that was created with a deep wave which i spray painted in black with a ramie hanger. 50 cent pieces of thick wonderful felt, a huge selection throughout the store of fine scissors, Joanne brand hot glue gun at an excellent price performing perfectly. I also fell in love with their carefully thought out selections of BEAUTIFUL delicate naturally colored artificial flowers, holiday decorations to craft, hang, their artist supplies to draw paint, and of course their great selection of textiles. My 92-year-old " speedy gonzalez" mom in San Diego gifted me her beautiful sewing machine..... so of course i am SERIOUSLY considering taking sewing courses here! Enjoy!
