Her behavior seemed to indicate that I was inconveniencing her by being there. She was not friendly nor helpful. She did not offer information unless I asked for it. Poor service for assistance at fax machine. You have to choose a credit card limit to cover your cost of $2.00 per page. I timed out twice, then was successful in sending 6 pages. My credit card was charged twice for $5, then $15. My cost was $12.00 not satisfied read more

I went to the CopyMax at this location and requested two photographs to be scanned onto a flash drive. Right off the bat I was completely dissatisfied with my service, because it costed me $6 for them to scan two photographs. TWO PHOTOGRAPHS. When I got back home, and reviewed the scans on my computer, I noticed they were blurry and totally unusable. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. It's totally a waste of your time and money. read more

I purchased some office supplies online with a credit card and asked for curbside delivery due to the pandemic. When I arrived at the store with my order no., I was told that I had not clicked on something in the email telling me that my order was ready. I don't do email on my cell phone so the manager told me I had to come inside to pick up my order. Since I had already paid for the order and obviously did not want to come in the store, I thought that was pretty stupid. I said cancel my order and was told that I had to come in to do that! GREAT SERVICE!!! Thanks UselessMax! I left and am canceling the order through the credit card company. I will never do business there again. read more

I needed an 11x17 color copy because my Canon broke. The Office Max website said they would process it quickly for me same day for 73 cents with tax. The high school girl at the counter obviously wanted to be elsewhere and was unwilling to take my flash drive I had (just in case), and would have charged me twice the online rate for the privilege of having it done in-store. Calling the company to find out where my print was made it even worse. It turns out they decided Topeka Kansas is in Marietta Georgia and mo, they won't refund my money because the job was listed as completed on their computer. Topeka only gets two of the major office supply chain stores (no Staples for us). OfficeMax isn't bad although it isn't great either. I noticed now roughly 1/3 of the store is computer stuff. Prices tend to be a little high, especially with items that are sold at discount retailers. However, in my case, when buying an item few other places sell, expect to pay a pretty penny. Of course when there's nobody else selling the same thing, they can get away with it too. Parking is a little screwy. The spots are in front of the store, but the alley also serves as an entrance to Fairlawn Plaza, so there's a little traffic there. Its really not set up to handle a lot of people at once, but its also a smaller store so that isn't too big of a problem. But I didn't have too many problems, except one of the loss leaders they're pushing was sold out which I actually wanted. Worth going to when I don't feel like visiting Office Depot. read more

Went to OfficeMax store number 6300 today (Sat 07/30/2022) at 1:00pm. I went to the cashier with 1 HP Black HP65XL ink cartridge with two coupons; one coupon was for 20% off selected ink and some other items and the other coupon was for earning 25% more points for "Members Reward Program". Both coupons were marked with the expiration date 07/31/2022 I asked the associate to determine which coupon would be best for this ink purchase. He tried scanning coupons and said neither would work. I asked why, and he didn't know and then tried to tell me that they were expired (there was one day left). I asked him to call his supervisor and he hmned and hawed and said he didn't know where the supervisor was. Because time had passed and there were now five people standing in line behind me, I didn't want to waste more of their time so I just called it quits. I said to the associate, "void the purchase", I left the coupons sitting on the counter and I left in a huff. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO OFFICE MAX! If they are going to send out coupons as part of the Members Reward Program, the company should program the computerized cash register to recognize the coupon and the company should train all associates in actions to take if some glitz occurs. What terrible customer service! read more
