I work from home now and needed some office supplies. Then I remembered there is an office max near me. So I checked it out and it very big. They have a lot of printers, shredder and office supplies plus boxes for moving or storage. They don't have a lot of employees but those that are there are helpful and friendly. I'm surprised the store was more full with people but I definitely recommend them for office and school supplies when you need them. read more

It was 3 people before me and all I needed was to laminate one page. It was 2 girls working but nothing was moving. I stayed for about 35 minutes before they asked for my paper and about 15 more minutes when they finally got to it. They take bunch of not needed information like address, email, etc. Instead of separating and helping different clients, they were following each other and watching each others work. 2 things you don't do in life...go to Party City the day before Halloween, and shop at Officemax the first day of school. Passing by today to pick up some canned air and ink cartridges, I immediately knew it was the wrong night to step into this place as there was no less than 40 people in line waiting to pay. In total, I waited around 25 minutes or so but expected that on the first day of school so no complaints here. The staff is overall nice and quite helpful especially when you're just looking by yourself; they'll come up to you and offer any assistance. The worse part of shopping here is the center itself; there's always a rush up and down the lanes to try and find a spot that may open up which baffles me...the lot is huge so where is everyone going? read more

I had a pretty ok experience here and feel as though I might be the only one lol I had never used OfficeMax for their printing services but was in need today as I couldn't use my handy dandy work printer. I actually tried calling the number to ask what I would need in order to print something out but was unable to reach anyone. I called twice and I was like as if someone picked up but the line was quiet. It was as if they had immediately put me on hold. Since my sister had been before, I asked her, and she said the only thing I needed was a USB to carry the file I wanted to print. I went inside and immediately went to the printing center. There wasn't a line and the guy there immediately let me know he would be right with me. A woman came in behind me and was actually kind of annoying and tried skipping the line. The guy said that he would help her after he helped me, which I definitely appreciated :) (I forgot to get his name, I know, I suck) He was able to get another computer, and pretty much did everything in front of me. Asked me what it was I wanted to print from my flash drive and voila, done! It ended up being $0.33 for two pages which I really didn't mind paying. First time using the printing area and it was a fast and ok experience. I've purchased office and school supplies from this location before and have never had any issues. Although, you can easily find notebooks and folders at Walgreens for much cheaper! read more

I purchased a Brother printer from the Miami Beach store . Did not need a printer. I happened to have it in my car and was passing by a Office Max in North Miami Beach. As soon as I asked the employee and explained that I purchase the item from a different store, he threw up his arms and said, inonly can return it to the location that I purchased it from. I had him call the manager. After 10 minutes on the phone. The manager decided to take the item back. I had to explain to the manager. That when you buy something from a brick and mortar store. The purpose is so that if you have any issues or want to return the item. You can do it any location. When I was walking away I overheard the employee say / what nerve people have.!! read more

STAY AWAY FROM THE STORE PLEASEEEEE!!! I would literally hand write the Declaration of Independence with a broken crayon upside down swinging back and forth over a fire pit before I ever returned to this location. It's one thing for the machines to be down, 6 down is crazy but I don't care about that part, This was the worst experience I've ever had to date in any place of business from the lack of help for the elderly using the machine, that is only one open at that. The self service machines are confusing to some older folks and they need to be able to bounce questions off of employees without attitude. That irritated me most, outside of sitting in line for an hour for a copy of $1. No way. read more

Paid serious money for a brand new computer for pick up. When we got here they ran around the store just to realize that the computer I ordered was on display for the past 3 months. Since I don't want it "used" I requested that another Office Depot / Max be called and confirmed that they had the same computer unopened. The staff said that they can't just transfer that transaction to another store (why? It's the same company?) and that I would have to cancel the order and finally WAIT several business days for all the money he refunded. Get it together, folks. Every time I come here the print department is backed up. It takes more than 30 minutes to come in and print two papers. I live in the area and I don't come to this horrible location unless I have to. The service is so bad and all the employees work slow and like they don't want to be there. I took my computer to be serviced and am wildly disappointed. My CPU was getting a "Blue Screen" and turning off. I went to this Office Max because it's conveniently close to my office. When I took it in they did an online diagnostic and told me I had viruses and suggested I load a new Anti-Virus. I was charged a large $180.00 for this service. I got home and turned on the CPU to find that nothing was fixed. Same problem. I returned to Office Max only to be told by the Tech that if I wanted to have the CPU looked at, he would have to charge me again full price. That is outrageous. I took my computer and advised him on the upcoming Yelp review. DO NOT COME HERE TO FIX YOUR COMPUTER!!! Better Business Alert!!! read more

Today was the second time I've walked out of this store. Nobody pays attention to you; even acknowledges you when you are standing there trying to get something printed. If someone does notice you standing there they point to a sign that gives you instructions on how to print your own thing but I need a receipt and a lamination. I see that they're short staffed but the fact that nobody seems to even take the time to notice you or at least give you the benefit of the doubt is super annoying. Wasted 45 minutes of my lunch break today and got nothing accomplished....I can't with you guys. read more

I would advise persons to invest in a printer/copier and a computer so this place can be avoided, it is the WORST customer service in America! Minimum wait time to print a document is 20-30 minutes, staff is rude and when helping you they got the worst attitudes. I literally went behind the counter to collect my prints because the 1 employee they had on a Tuesday morning couldn't service her station alone. This store does not deserve a star. However, I was at the printing department. I was waiting for someone to help me. No one acknowledged me or asked me how they. can help. It seemed like they did not know what they were doing. I was there on Wednesday, January 15th a little after 8 PM. The young guy was rude and responded with an attitude when I asked a question as if he was annoyed because he couldn't do his job correctly. In which he was with another customer and didn't have a clue as to what he was doing. I have been there multiple times to print documents and never had this issue. An addition, I've worked at that location for 2 years and never gave an attitude like towards any customer and acknowledged each one. When I called to ask for the young man name, the young lady that answered the phone was rude, asked multiple questions and kept me on hold for a long time. Management needs to be enforced and the employees needs training on etiquette and how to do their tasks. read more

It is a nice store. SInce Office Depot closed across the street they have been real busy and they are the only area office supply store. The big issues is there is never enough people working here. You can never find a sales associate to help you and the lines at the register always takes a long time. Just not convenient. read more

While helping me, she multitasked like a wizard, helping her colleagues with questions and other guests as well. She knew every answer to anyone's question, and works extremely fast. A good selection, but a badly understaffed store. Usually only one cashier, and unfortunately the one cashier must also handle customer service issues, such as product returns, product exchanges and price adjustments. One out of every three times that I attempt to shop in this store, I end up having to put the merchandise back on the shelf, abandoning the attempt to purchase. If a customer comes in to do a product return or exchange, the one and only cashier is occupied for 20 minutes or more handling that product return or exchange, and the store can't sell anything to anyone for 20 minutes or more. The management of this store refuses to do anything to address this chronic problem. It seems that the management of this store would rather see customers put merchandise back on the shelf, defeated, abandoning the attempt to purchase, rather than have to pay out one more salary, to have an employee designated to handle product returns and exchanges. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I used to use this store for ALL of my printing needs, business cards etc. Then around November they appointed a new manager at the printing section or store wide. I'm not sure. Tall black girl with glasses (please note I'm also black) I've never had my glasses on to read her name badger would have addressed her that way but OMG. How someone so not put together, dismissive, rude and with very little people skills towards her own staff never mind customers becomes a Manager. I have no idea. She speaks down to the staff and honestly if she was my boss I'd have quit. She's not helpful. She doesn't listen. She walks about with her face tripping her and huffing and puffing all the time. It used to be the same staff all the time in this Department who were lovely. Lucy, LuLu and there were a couple of others but everyone was friendly. Always helpful, always smiling and had things done quickly. This morning I've waisted an hour and a half of my time cause these people don't have a clue and I've left the store empty handed. No business cards, surprise. This is my 3/4th time in store since this manager started and her demeanor is the same every time. I will NEVER come back to this store for my printing needs. It's appalling and they don't know what they're doing. I told her 3 times what I needed she was still doing her own thing. Then she passed me onto another staff member without actually addressing me. Afterwards the computer she was using was slow so I watched her tell one of the staff to reset everything. I was waiting for her to tell me that meant my computer was also about to restart but she didn't. I was currently half way through my new business card design and my computer was working just fine. Next thing you know it freezes up and stops. She didn't have the decency to actually tell me that her restarting computers meant the one I was also working on. There was nothing wrong with the one I was using. I can't stress enough how disorganized and stressful it is to visit this store now and I will be telling ALL of my staff not to use this location anymore. Last time I came it was my friend who was printing stuff off and she was frustrated by the time we left too cause the whole experience was stressful. Office Max you really need to do better with your staffing and maybe hire managers who actually want to help your other staff members when they need help or guidance instead of speaking to them like they're beneath her and in front of customers. Then picking and choosing when she wants to put a smile on her face. She should be grateful to have a job and if you don't like customers don't be in customer service. You had great staff in that department now they SUCK read more

totally incompetent staff. i stood by the ink wall to get help for several minutes. there were 4 staff members in the area and no one attended to me even though all clearly saw me. i asked the cashier n she told me to go all the way to the back of the store to the printing department even though the ink was 4 feet away from her and i pointed it out to her. i go to the back and they point me to a wall of ink. of course the ink i need is not at arm's reach its all the way at the top. so i go to the printing department and guess who they call? the girl who was four feet away from the ink. she cant reach either. thank God a customer saw what happened and was tall and got the ink for me. twenty five minutes, three attendants and another customer helped me. this is a true shame. i will never shop here again, a long time customer, as a result of this ridiculous experience and waste of time. the best part, the cashier said she was going to get a ladder- why when the ink i asked u for was right in your face 20 minutes ago??? ridiculous!!! read more
