I like this store. It's in an odd location next to Tires Plus across from Northwoods Mall, but…read moreotherwise is a good find. I used to think it was just clothing for middle-aged women, but don't let the age of the sales clerks fool you--there is clothing for the younger woman, too. I have purchased blouses here for myself and my 17-year old niece. And they also carry the ultra popular Coobie and Spanx bras. I wouldn't say that it has as many departments as a bigger store, but it has a good selection and enough sales that it's worth dropping in. Do sign up for their e-mail mailing list when you're in the neighborhood; that way you know when they have department wide sales and markdowns. I personally like buying from a regional chain rather than the huge national chains like Macy's when I can, so Four Seasons is great for me. Be aware that they carry a lot more than what's advertised on their website: http://www.fourseasonsdirect.com/

I need to explain something about myself first. I'm a single mom who lives paycheck to paycheck. I…read moream in the medical field so I wear scrubs all night long and I don't have much for fashion sense. So I had a company Christmas party to go to and recently gained some weight so I couldn't find anything to wear in my closet. I tried five different stores and nothing fit me or looked good on me. So my I went into Torid. Someone came up to me right away and started a dressing room for me. I tried on about 12 dresses that I thought would look good. They we're beautiful dresses, great quality and style and they didn't make me feel so bad about being a big girl and I am also very tall . I came out of the dressing room I was hot, frustrated, defeated and on the verge of tears right there in the middle of the store. The associate must have sensed my mood. This wonderful human being helped me out by asking me questions and getting to know me. When I was explaining my situation she started plucking apparel from the racks. Before I knew it I had a dressing room full of clothes that all fit me and fit me well. I was dancing in the dressing room when I found the outfit I wanted. Then I looked at the prices. Wow,! Did I mention I am a cheap skate? However, I never do anything for myself, so I chose to go ahead with the purchase. The associate not only gave me a few discounts, but also added a discount for my upcoming birthday. This person completely made my day and eased my suffering. I wish I could have gotten her name. I would send her flowers or something... Associate on 12-11-2015 at around 2-3pm

We had a wonderful experience at home shoes yesterday. Brought my mother in to the store to look…read morefor shoes. She wears orthotics so that's a little tricky are the men that were working there were wonderful. I stopped at the front door to let my mother out as she uses a walker, they came right out and helped her into the building and I don't think we've ever had such great business in any store. The men that were working there were so kind and helpful. They helped her try on several shoes before she bought two pair. she had a little squeak in her walker, and they also oiled that up, so no more squeaks, I certainly would recommend this store to anybody that wants orthotic shoes and even non-orthotic shoes I bought a pair of myself. It was just a great experience and so nice not to have to work with people that aren't as experienced. I'm sure we will go back and buy more shoes rarely do you see this kind of help anywhere. Thank you for a great experience.

Best shoe store ever! I have some issues with my feet (including a painful condition called plantar…read morefasciitis) since I stand my feet every day. A family member AND my podiatrist recommended Dansko shoes. This retail store carries a big variety of Danskos and have properly fit me for 6 styles over the last year or two. I'm not shoe-obsessed and these shoes are expensive, but this store has helped me adjust the shoes to fit (even adding a felt bumper in one spot and tightening a strap because my left foot is slightly smaller than my right). Although I've been helped by a number of people here, Mimi is the person I like best. She has a great attitude and knows A LOT about shoes. Once in a while, she'll gently push me to try a different style (or even different manufacturer) and I've been really pleased with the results. Here's the thing... retail stores often end up becoming a showroom for stuff people buy online. You go in, you try on a bunch of stuff, you write down the name of the shoe and brand that fits, you walk out, you go home, and you buy it for less online. It's true that you may get a better deal now and then, but this place will help you find what really fits AND adjust them for you. I often buy the first pair of a style I like there and then buy another pair online for $5 or $10 less. That said, the kinds of shoes I wear almost NEVER go on sale... so sometimes I end up getting them at Holmes Shoes instead. They also have $79.00 and $59.00 sale table with a buy-one-get-one-for-half-off tables often enough that it's worth it to go in and check every few weeks when you're in the Metro Center. Specialists in this store know a lot about how to fit you for your line of business. They have everything from sandals to shoes to sexy shoes and steel-toed work boots. They can also tell if you're not wearing the right size, width and style of shoe so that you can buy something that *actually fits* and stop hurting yourself. This also helps you from getting foot problems later (like what I have, or bunions, or corns, etc.) It's worth it to go here--if only a few times a year to get 1 pair of something that is really good for your feet. Then, if you want to go online and click through 227 pages to try and find it $10 cheaper (which washes out when you pay $9.95 for shipping), hey, that's cool. I get it. Holmes. Awesome place!
