This place has been around since long before I was born, and the paraphernalia, the pictures, and the stories are fairly amusing. Most recently, however, I was there for a (double) 50-years party, and the place did not disappoint. I think the food catering was external, so credit for the great food goes elsewhere. The place has marvelous surroundings, if you have an interest in the genuine Viking history of the area, but it's a little bit outside of the city.
As far as I know, Odinsborg is also open most days as a regular café, which I have not tried, but again the whole Gamla Uppsala Högar area, with museum and this place, is definitely worth a visit for any tourist or local. read more
